So, has anyone been up there yet? Any idea when it will open?
It's probably snowing up there this weekend. Blehhhh.
Snowed last night above 7,000 feet in Salmon.
The Missoula Maladjusted thread just posted a couple links on it. Its closed.
Here's that link.
If ya wanna know ya gotta go!
I talked to a couple riders from IF who had just crossed and said it was open. They went on to say it has been worked on and that a Prius could cross. It is too easy. They were on KLR 650s. Part of the fun in the past were the challenges...it was an adventure.
I plan to ride it again soon to see. I think there are many other roads in Idaho that are just as pretty, better camping and fewer people.
This route has become so popular, like an adventure rider pilgrimage. I guess if many riders flock to ride the Magruder, then fewer riders on the good stuff.
Much better and it will become the preferred route from Lewiston to Salmon
