That sounds like a hell of a plan to me, those 990's are pretty impressive. Lots of people spend their entire life chained to a job with sporadic short vacations. In my opinion you can miss your whole life living that way. I am considering a month trip to Copper Canyon from nor cal and it would be crazy not to go. Good Luck and have a great Trip!:clap:clap

there is a ride report , sort of .... at

You will learn french in the process....

    ;)

but pictures worth 1000 of words... they say .... so you are already fluent in french !

By the way, I am in ... let see... Tuscaloosa , Alabama.... for the first time of my life I can cope with highways... After 700km of Blue Ridge yesterday and a blast this morning in "Tail of the Dragon" ....

The KTM 990 is not my.Ducati.. but it is as close as it can be , fully loaded with Knobbies....Héhé I could live now with only one bike : ktm990 ! (don't say that to my girlfriend... she will want me to sell other 3)

question : something particular to see (recommandations / suggestions) on my way to Mexico ???

Wow , when I saw my picture , I ran to the nearest drugstore and said "can you give me total sun protection???"

The only thing as warm as the Texas Sun is you hospitality Glen !!!

I will drink my première Tequila to your Santé Glen and the second one to the Santé of those who invented the "tent space" !

Bonjour my man - I'm right there with you. I am finishing up my job come Dec. 31, picking up my BMW 1200GS tomorrow, gettin' geared up, and round tripping from San Francisco to Cabo and back, taking lots of time to roll down the Sea of Cortez and up the Pacific.

Have a great adventure. And hoist a Pacifico on your way down Mexico. I'll be there soon! :freaky
