Haha! At the dealership seeing if I can get this done. All depends on the financiers.

Brilliant bikes. I had a late 80's one with the huge Acerbis long range tank. Thrashed it mercilessly and never let me down once. Looking forward to watching your project!:ricky

KLR ownership requires you watch Ryan "Half Throttle"'s videos on YouTube.

Brand new, and you're already parking in a no park zone! Better move that thing before you get towed!

    Enjoy your new reliable ride!

Same color I use to have and bought it at same place. My son bought his same day I did. Enjoy that bike.

    My first bike, basically.
I climb on them now at the bike shows and always think, "How the hell did I ride something so absurdly tall and top heavy?!" :rofl
My memories with that bike are all fond. No such feelings about the subsequent V-Strom.

They were a two-for-one sale on Amazon. Couldn't pass it up. :D
I still have that one in my garage with all the hardware to mount it to a KLR. Need to find a buyer.

I have a buddy with one in that color scheme , we were admiring it one day and the question of name came up. Larry ended the process by proclaiming the bike will be called "Short Bus ".

Not much chance to ride it yet. Got it last Thursday then spent Friday through Tuesday cramming in over sixty hours of professional development I was supposed to have been working on all summer. Oops! Got that monkey off my back then rode about a couple hundred miles Wednesday. Something like 150 miles yesterday. Only about 80 miles today. Finally got over the 500 mile mark this evening and finally got to get it over 4,000 rpm (about 57 mph). Now it’s good for up to 5,000 rpm until 1,000 miles and then the break in will be complete. There’s 555 miles on it now and I’m going on a pretty good ride tomorrow, so I’m about to go give the bike its first service.
