that's the thing we do, we the old guys :D
Aurel, for your year's trip, you should take a book or 2.
Like "C++ for dummies" or "how to write a compiler"

Dottore, from the thickness of the books your padre was reading, they could be Umberto Eco's
btw, I took the liberty to propose some of your picts as frontpage :D

    It wasn't Umberto Eco...something else!:deal
For a trip around the world two books are not that much...:rofl I managed to read half book in 4 weeks...this tell you a lot:huh

Thanks for proposing my pictures for front page. Somebody suggested the same for the Madagascar's and Libya's 2009. I would be delighted but I am not sure how to do it. :ear

    Ciao

Nice one Nic, looks like a great trip. May I also commend you on choice of motorcycle ;-)

Photos were magic. I can't wait to get back to Tunisia, this time with 2 wheels.

I must say that this is the way i enjoy post ADV report. I hope this is giving the emotion I look for when I looks at somebody else report. I love to see a trip from begining all the way to the end through a number of selected pictures:ear

I will keep doing it. I hope to have new horizons to look at soon. Maybe no desert, I had enough :lol3
Maybe something like my previous trip to Madagascar!:D

Timpo, How are you and sarah doing?

Let me tell you ... the above is a pile of rubbish. He convinced me that the bike was too tall, which i supposed it was a little, but the motive was to buy his new one !! It was a fantastic first bike though and now i am missing it.

I think sub-consciously nic did it because he loves me behind !!! :lol3

Take care and hopefully we will see you soon.

I have just beeing looking at the pictures of my trips to Lybia in 2009 and 2010.
It was very sad to think that in the same place now a terrible and ferocious war is on. :(: Regardless of the side I stand for, I am wondering what has happened to our guides who spent so many days with us.

I am also conscious that looking at the present political situation and lack of minimal security requirment it will be a long time before I will again be able to travel in the deep Sahara, an unforgetable place!:cry

Pictures are no longer available. To keep memory of that brilliant trip and magnificent part of the Sahara no longer explorable I upload again the most significant on in random order. You will see, among other areas, the Tadrat Acacus and the Awbari lakes.
Pictures related to the part of the trip in Tunisia will be uploaded later.
