Subscribed. I have to agree on the oil tank location recommendations. I also agree with the question about aftermarket options to relocate it, sure wish there were some. What are you going to do for gas? ben
No. I prefer my choice. The big Meoni bike was BIG, with a lot of gasoline, mine is lighter and with different weight distribution. If you are looking for the Meoni configuration you can contact the Man who build the bike. Romeo Feliciani was the Technician working with Meoni to modify the standard bike. But weight is weight and I will hovewer put in the rear of the bike a different source of weight, battery and gasoline. I will put the gasoline under the seat in a central position. And, indeed, the super enduro has the oil tank where I'm building mine. Today I continued with the work, I did the engine protection, still in progress. Ciao! Gpmucci
On the racing Lc8 the basic efforts are 1. Take off weight from the bike. 2. Move more weight possible in the rear. Many off road competition lc8 has 12kg take off from the front wheel. Single disc, oil tank and battery. Different weight distribution. Gpmucci
Excellent work. Ignore the back seat bike builders and keep at it. Its looking like the bike ktm should have built when they made the se
I think that's just clear reinforced tube, you can get it in lots of diameters. I agree, if your having the fuel at the back then the oil tank will help balance that out. The Dakar bikes also had to nav tower hanging over at the front. Steve
The garden hose was something I found in the bike when I bought it. Today I create a further bumper to avoid some off road problem.. Gpmucci
oooooh. id be very careful about that last pic. if you take a good hit, that's gonna crack your case. you need to figure another way to reinforce the plate in my opinion. the rest is very nice. laramie
I agree with the concern for your case. I have a BlackDog bash plate on my 950 and it is quite bent due to hard impacts. Id rather my bash plate bend than my case crack. I'm not trying to be a back seat builder. Your bike looks amazing. When your done can you fly to California and start transforming my bike?
I tend to disagree. As long as the mount he is using will bend under heavy impcact, it should be fine. This is exactly how thw early KTM rally bikes ran their skid plates and their rubber bumpers didn't have the bendable mount, they mounted direct to the cases.
I completed the oil tank! It is lower and it weight one third than the original. Also I almost completed the lower protection Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
