A bit of gentle green laning, there’s miles of it round here.
(Not as good as Scotland though the weather is usually better and no midges!)
Excellent... Well done!!!
this specimen just appeared on the german mz forum:
there's a lot I like about this bike.
I like everything about it apart from the riding position!
p.s. I need to score a Simson S50, any leads?
I know of a completely standard one of these in excellent condition for sale for £3500. Very tempting.
Can anyone identify the rider or year on this photo I recently acquired??
My immediate thought is that's John "moon eyes" Cooper.
If it is him, I would guess that the picture was taken later in his colourful racing career because his famous moon eyes usually adorned pudding basin helmets. I'm guessing '73 - '74
I am not able to reconcile the Cuba .
My subsequent research failed to find any reports of Cooper riding MZ's or any pictures of him wearing a full face helmet.
i got moony eyes on the side panel of my ts combo. and i'm *not* cooper. :)
Time for some new rubber..
Tell us about that seat
I was told by a previous owner that it was a one off by Corbin but I’m not so sure...
I’ll take a photo of the plaque on the rear when next working on it. I can’t really remember what it says.
I thought I’d share my £13.20 eBay purchase since it seems very well made and perfect for carrying on the MZ.
I might file the 12mm out to 13mm but apart from that it’s perfect.
No affiliation but search East German multi-tool on eBay if you want one.
What is this little rubber bung for?
I asked on the MZ Havana facebook page and someone responded that the picture is of the one and only Nirio Rivero.
Excellent detective work, thanks!
