I got my ETZ MoT'd the other day. It was running poorly and smoking like a son of a bitch but they still gave me a sticker. Later this summer or maybe next year I'll put in some new crankshaft seals.

Inhalt 1 Liter. Made in Germany.

it doesn't really matter, GL3 to GL4, not higher. the equivalent to SAE80 would be 10w30. any simple mineral standard gear oil will do, like 10W-30 Mineral Motorcycle Gearbox Oil - Wet Clutch like Motul Transoil.
GL-4 80-90 mentioned earlier is also fine. using both varieties at the mo.

Not up to anything fun like camping however unearthed this original Wilf Green Special ETZ300 with 9000 miles on the clock last weekend. Laid up since it was two years old. Another one saved and not bad for £100.
    Fairing like hen's teeth apparently.

0723191615_Film3.jpg 0723191721a_Film3.jpg Went ahead with my crankshaft seal replacement. Bought cheap pullers for the alternator rotor and the clutch. Could have used a deep well 22 mm socket for the LH crankshaft nut but managed without it. Nice to be able to replace the seals without splitting the crankcase halves. Old seals came out easily with a self tapping screw. Sorry for the crappy photos, a greasy fingerprint on the lens. :lol2

A 120 mile round trip to an MZ meet on the 150 with a fat bar steward like me on board on a hilly route proved challenging, but fun.
Think I'll keep her for round the streets work only....

Well this may be as far as this little project goes..

It seems a shame because I have put so much time and money in to it and still more to be done. There is a problem selecting first gear
    Other projects building up

It was like this when i got it 2 years ago

I'm loving this thread. I don't recall ever seeing an MZ in Canada. CZ, Jawa, and Puch, but no MZ. Pity.
