Bradley Lake and some camping property on Lake Lucerne. Hoping to be back up there before the end of the month.
Im going up this weekend, but sounds like rain. Watching the weather closely as Id like to get a few more miles on my new 500
Im available to go riding the next few weekends if anyone has time.
I know a few trails
Saturday the 14th., my brother and I are doing a loop out of Antigo/Lily. We will pass Lake Lucerene and ride the lake country just north of Hiles and east of Three Lakes, and then somewhere north of Hwy. 70 turn back south through the Nicolet. Warning: We are old and slow, and prefer hard packed gravel. It looks like rain late in the afternoon. We always like to meet fellow riders.
I wont get up to my place till mid afternoon on Sat. Wife works til noon
I shoulda clarified that i can ride on Sundays
I'll be going up to Mountain area for the last time this year for one day this weekend. Trails close Nov 1st. Be happy to meet up with someone if interested.
Yesterday (Sunday) was a great day in northern Langlade county's woods. Temps 30 -35 and no wind.
I rode through the woods to Koni K's Kafe in Elcho for hot chocolate.
Of course, if I didn't ride, I wouldn't get cold and thus need the hot chocolate.
Some older 'after church ladies' built up the courage to talk to the scary biker in the café.
I'm happy that I could add a little excitement and danger to their lives.
I added a windscreen and the Hippo Hands to my bike. Together they make all the difference in the world for cold weather riding.
Is it spring yet? Anyone making plans for summer rides?
No plans, but at 47 or so degrees tomorrow and some really decent and clean roads, I'll be out for sure.
Planning a two up couples ride around superior in June. That didn’t sound right, but you know what I mean.

Crap... I missed all kinds of posts.
I hope we can make something of this thread this year, i'll have a LOT more free time than in the past, so if anyone wants to daytrip of maybe more...hit me up.
I'm thinking of hugging the coast up 35 and playing around in the Hiawatha and all around the Bay Du Noc area. There's some really great little known campgrounds in that area. Maybe a ride or two up to and around Munising and Grand Marais.
Between backpacking and paddling trips, I get up there a lot. Never did it on my bike, though.
My busy season for work starts May 1 and goes to Oct 10. After that I only work one week a month. I have to really bust ass to clear up a day or three in the busy months, but it can be done.
So I'll be trailering in the winters south. Just picked up a nice trailer to do just that.
I got my 250 out of hibernation and did a couple laps around the house on Sunday. Still need a good rain to wash the salt off the roads around here.
In March of 2012 I was already up in the UP riding the Trap Hills between Bergland and Rockland.
My dairy farmer neighbors had already planted oats.
Today it is mid-April, .... the bike sits in the garage. I will plow snow then ski on 10" of the new white stuff.
I liked this... but I don't actually like this snow right now!
This shit aint right, on so many levels.
I'll assume half the folks watching this thread dont know...
I'm in Cali. Came out here for WARPED rally.
Had a pretty bad get off, so my riding for the year is pretty much over, till fall, if i'm lucky.
The snow back there....WTF?
