Given the fact that I am working more and spending more time with the family did not justify keeping both bikes so the DR650 had to be sacrificed.
It went to a good home in So-Cal.

Maybe a case of the camera making it look easy? Not blowing my horn, but that doesn't even look challenging for a big bike.

Just depends on the road conditions and the level of the rider. I have never seen it as smooth as in this video. When was this taken?

Cool. I recall the build on that funky bash plate, the drz and it's magic button would be in the garage if I could have found a deal, settled (happily) for the xr400.

Might see you on the trail sometime......

XR400 are cool bikes. I am going for a major recon ride up north, south of Marble Canyon maybe even push north to Vermilion Cliff Ntl Monument. Plus we (me and Aaron) wanna finish up stage 2 from 3 Sundays ago when all was going well till my throttle cable broke. We'll be staging somewhere in Flag if u wanna join us in 2 Sundays from now. It's one of these ride that start and never ends.:cromag
From last ride (NW of Joseph City painted desert). Throttle cable broke so game over.....for that day, to be continues in 2 Sundays :lurk.

That makes sense.. that as the year that the huge rains washed out the road completely and they rebuilt it. The trail was work over by some heavy equipment to get into the areas that were hit hard.

Broken throttle cable & no spare! Hard to believe for a bike that carries a spare everything:dunno

Really appreciate the offer! I'm committed that weekend.... :(.

What's your riding style - rip-roaring, mellow? I suspect other inmates may have opinions on the matter.... :D

I am toning it down after couple of crashes :lol3. And getting older doesn't help:-). I still get tempted now and then to push it. I decided to ease up on the "Too rough stuff" unless i have an RMZ250.
