I'd be interested in a Ride N Ride (I'll do all the riding) if your interested in a trade for a 1988 BMW K75c with just under 30k on the clock:)

That's a beautiful bike and I honestly have to say, it made me pause and think about it. However, I'm trying to raise some cash by selling the KLR and trading just isn't going to do that. Instead, I tried to get several people I know up here interested in your bike but no serious takers.
Ha! It was worth a shot.

Yep no problem. Little tight under the spillway at Horse Shoe dam but doable.

Some loos gravel compliments of the recent rains, but overall doable and a good ride for pretty much any bike.

Man, everyone has a different opinion. I asked this a year ago and was pretty discouraged about getting a big bike through there by the responses. I think the biggest issue was the climb out after crossing the dam.

I'd still like to do this sometime. Has it changed for the better? Or just not as bad as other responses make out? I know it's more the rider than the trail. Just kinda hard to decide since you can't really see it first hand without committing to it.

It all depends on the rider. When I first did that ride I thought that descent was really hard. Now, I think it's not even a blip on the radar. I think it just looks worse than it actually is.

Same as the climb out of the dam. I think it's pretty easy but I took a guy who had only been off road less than a handful of times and he did this there:

    So yeah, YMMV.

Leading up to that werent you also letting us know you were not a very experoenced dirt rider, and usually solo? Makes a big difference.

Umm... No? Never indicated such a thing. Not a beginner by any means and usually with a group. Which is why I asked before leading a group out there. Not familiar with it.

Is it any worse than the back way up Crown King?

Ahh, so many folks come and go its hard to keep up sometimes.

Its way easier than the backway to CK, its really a VERY mellow ride overall sans two spots, the drop from sheep bridge is rocky loose and has a step, but its downhill, and theres nothing difficult about the spillway, just takes a little finagling to get a big bike round the turn in the walkway. The climb out and up the other side is more a mental game than challenging because theres a high risk for failure 3 ft away.

Completely over run by those side by side wolf packs. Highly discourage attempts to navigate through on weekends. Weekdays still have a fair share of the vermin. My info is six months past current, cant imagine much has changed for the better since then?

CK: If you’re on a solid singletrack bike, you can go up on Tiptop trail. Nothing but mountain goats in the way.

Even riding to the turn out of CK rock is becoming so risky on the w/e because of these inexperienced fools. (Dodged that bullet last April).
