Say what you want about just going around in circles , but the drive by Truex last night will to go down as one of the greatest ever in any form of motorsport .

ARCA race yesterday was boor-ing. Those kids usually put on a good show, but maybe they were too scared to try a pass. I will say Gilliland made it look pretty easy.

One heck of a race today. Lots of passing for a change, & Keslowski backin' it into his pit stall was a highlight. The big one never happened, but Eric Jones went for a helluva ride on the last lap. Congrats to Chase for his first Super Speedway win.

Monday's race at Dover was another snoozfest. I don't know how they did it, but somehow NASCAR managed to take the monster out of the mile.

Last nights' All-Star race showed what racing is supposed to be about...WINNING! No points to protect, and bangin' fenders because the ends justify the means. And nobody gets pissy about it. Fun stuff to watch for sure!

NASCAR strikes $2B deal with ISC, will gain a dozen tracks

Hopefully the reboot is in the making.
NASCAR’s five-year agreement with tracks ends after the 2020 season.

I would like to see about five regional race events with a champion for each one.
    For example, the Dixie Cup.
    Great Lakes Cup.
    Western Cup.

The winner of these cups get lots of bonus points, and cash.

The last race of the season is the Daytona 500.
Whoever has the most seasonal points
at the end of this race is the over all champion. Like it was with Winston Cup.

Having something closer to a stock car with no restriction plates would be nice.
Most fans are tired of the same congo line action.

The first race of the season can be Daytona, but a road course race, with the front stretch part of the track.
Nice way to kick off the opening season. And have guest hosts tell the audience a story.
Ricky Rudd or Dale Jarret .

Also, have each car a camera so that fans can go on line and live stream and watch their car and hear with the driver and crew chief are talking about. The fan can toogle between multiple cameras.
Maybe they pay for a Cup Pass, single race pass or season pass aaces. Or a single driver pass or race team pass.
You can also pay to live stream more camera angles and toogle them. And pit road.

Not really a NASCAR fan but I just happened to catch the last 15 minutes of the race at Watkins Glen yesterday. That was some pretty good racing there.

The cars are 30 miles an hour slower than they were 30 years ago. Now NASCAR is like watching wrestling. I called WWF in NASCAR

I just saw the last 5 laps and yea it was good . When jr was still racing the bet was how many laps he could go before crashing out . I usally tried to watch those , the roundy rounds are boring .

The Glen was voted NASCAR fan's favorite track. I wish it was part of the chase.

In 2009, I was on a flag station when Gordon and Hornish came together right in front of us. Lots of cars involved. Stewart hit the rail almost at my feet. Car parts flying everywhere. My pulse goes up every time I see the video. Even 10 years later.

Every time there is a big one there, they change the configuration of the rail or runoff in the area of the crash. The station I was working was never used again.

I'll be watching today's race on TV.

Are you high? They may be 5 mph slower at the superspeedways, but they have RP's that make them much harder to drive at speed.

No more RP's - less power today 550 HP as opposed to 800+ RP's.

The racing at The Glen was good but I have one question...why does NASCAR call a full course yellow for what would be a corner yellow in every other series on the planet?

Most of the tracks they are getting around much quicker than at the Glen - its what they are accustomed to. Swapping it up at individual races is probably thought as more dangerous than safe when its the typical routine. Honestly, at the Glen, the yellows are bit more slow to get waved. But when they do, they stick with what is routine and innate for the drivers.

ditto - my better half and I were both on our feet for the last few laps - really hope Chase does well in the sport, he's good kid.

That was a dominating performance though, impressive day for him.
