I have learned my lesson. The good thing about the GS is I can ride off-road now and not get any tickets and find even more challenging riding.

Crap, I could have bought those RS mirrors for my GS had I not had to spend my money on the Citation.

You can ride in front from now on!

I've ridden the more southerly end of the Trace from Tupelo, Miss. area and south. It is farkin' georgous especially in the spring, say mid April through May. I've seen every thing from wolves to coyotes to alligators and turtles. How-some-ever... the speed limit is 50 by-damn miles per hour, and if you don't keep it under control, you get to meet the friendly Park Ranger. They don't mess around with speeders. Sadly, the road just begs to be flogged!
    Come on down and enjoy.

Rode The Natchez Trace a few years ago. Beautiful road, 50 MPH::cry , Rangers seemed to appear every 5 miles:mad: . I ended up getting off . The police car paranoia was too much to take.

I've ridden that whole distance. Actually that was where I broke in my RT last year. The first 20-30 miles south of Nashville is some of the best riding around here. Tons of curves and elevation changes. I kept the speeds under 75mph most of the time but have recently been told that I was very fortunate not to have been caught by the law. It is a spectacular drive that I would recommend for anyone going out of nashville south. You at least need to ride it once in your life :) . It has a few straight sections that are kinda boring but for the most part it is a lot of long sweepers and some sections of tight switchbacks. Hope this helps.
