Duellin - where were you in this pic and when? Looks a lot like rural Appalachia... :-)

    Thanks for sharing!

Atop Walker Mountain, near Wytheville, looking north. One of my favorite roads, VA 42, is down in that valley.

I know that road well, neighbor! I live in Galax, and last summer rode the Back of the Dragon (hwy 16) and also into Burkes Garden, and down past Walker Mountain on the way home! Great roads everywhere in Southwest Virginia! :freaky

Here's a pic from Cripple Creek, VA on my Dec 26th ride...

I'm from Florida, I just like VA/WV roads. Makes Western NC crowded by comparison.

Still liking mine. The Givi cases have given way to Caribous though...

Beemerphile - those are some pretty impressive lights you have there, and skid plate too!

What brand of crash bar do you have on there? :norton

HondaBikePro (Dale) gets all the credit for the skid plate. It is the highest quality motorcycle accessory I have ever purchased. The bars are Givi.

Loving my 2012 NC700X! Bought it last November (new on the floor) and it is my first bike.

Haven't done much to the bike yet, just an R&G radiator guard and a 20" Madstad windscreen. Still trying to decide on tires and luggage.

Big smile every time I ride it!

Congratulations everybody, after looking through this thread whilst I was about to order a CBR, my NC750X is now ordered, in red, and just awaiting the adventure pack to arrive at the dealer.

I'll put some pics up when she arrives, but I'm excited and after test riding one shes perfect for my 75 mile commute, 300 mile trip every weekend, and for exploring some of the parts of Devon that I couldn't exactly get to on my current CBR...

If it wasn't for you lot, I wouldn't have even looked! :clap

Just signed the paperwork yesterday on a new 2014 NC700X! Was having trouble deciding between a Wee-Strom and walked into the local Honda dealer and was instantly floored to see the red NC in person. Have always been partial to the red; hope my XR650L doesn't get jealous! Had an epiphany not long after that I should have bought the XD so I could get the Mrs to ride. Dealer is storing mine until the weather improves here, so no pictures yet. Very cold here now, supposed to be -20 F tonight, can't wait for spring now!

Thanks much! Leafed through the Twisted Throttle catalog and picked out a few things already. I think I'll put a few hundred miles on it before I decide for sure what would make it "perfect."

You won't find a lot of farkles in the ADVRider Flea Market for the NC700 (at least not that I've seen so far), but do check out the NC700 forum at http://www.nc700-forum.com/forum/cmps_index.php - sometimes you can pick up some good things there.

Yep, I started looking through the NC forum too; not enough hours in a day to spend online though. Will post some ride observations soon, hopefully!
