I am bringing my wife to Colorado tomorrow and wanting to know the best place to go to see the leaves. I know it is getting late, but this is all we could do. I assume I have to go south. Thank you in advance.

Probably some places in New Mexico are still OK. We had a pretty good snowstorm last week and even the Aspens in my yard went from green to dead overnight.

Lower elevations might be better as well. Expecting snow this weekend in the northern mountains. That should finish it up there.

Most everything is brown now if still on the tree from my recent rides in the high country.
Like previously mentioned, maybe, maybe NM. Good luck!

    Hi

I agree with the others, you have missed aspens colors at high elevations for this season .... they peaked about 2 weeks ago.

    But

The trees are likely starting to show good colors on western slope right now ... probably have not even reach peak yet ... look at my little pic by name ... great fall colors .. weeks after the high altitude stuff was finished.

Pic was taken technically in Utah ... but I was only a few miles across the broder.

As that area is mostly desert trees are more limited. .. but ... they are there ! !

Of course the drive to get there could be tough this weekend.

    Good luck

Top of Grand Mesa was passed peak last week but the road down from Land's End was beautiful.

    133 / McClure pass. Done.
    Kebbler pass. Done
    CB Done.

NM might be a better choice.
