    What kind of POIs are you looking for and where? South America is a big country. I was in Peru a few months back, and I nabbed a few waypoints of my hostels and where I parked my bike. Maybe a couple of touristy spots, too.

    Can you be more specific about what you're looking for?

    For POI as you call them, we don't all speak Acronymese fluently, I think I'd go with lonely planet guide books for that.

    On acronym's is it not proper to do this......
    Hey I am looking for help on different Points Of Interest (POI) for S. America. Particulary ruins, hotels, restaurants and hookers...
    Please categorize your POI's as such.

    My friends no more trouble, just go to www.tracksource.org.br and download for free the most complete brazilian file for roads, dirtroads and poi and all of it is routeable.
