I belong to a church that supports a family of missionaries is Cape Town. They are great folks, but, due to the nature of their work, they always have transportation issues. They have three vehicles that are totally worn out, but they keep nursing them along, at great expense.

So my question is: what should one expect to pay for a mechanically sound minivan or equivalent. They run several shuttles and need the room.

    Thanks!

VW and Hyundai H1 good options, with readily available sercvice options and parts.
Mercedes Vito is also good, but hellavu expensive on the service and parts basket.
The Toyota Hi-Ace is a big no-no - won't have ownership of that for long, as they are the preferred vehicle of the large Taxi organisations.
