Certainly is. I've got a soft spot for those old KTMs.
I think my pal Pete, thate posted that link, does also.. wouldn't put it past him to snap it up.. he has a very
desirable collection of Eclectic" dirtbikes.. I keep telling him to find me a nice old Yammy XT/TT500, and my most desired IT490... which people have priced like a ticket to Mars these days..
No soft ktm spots here but, definitely impressed with @mgorman and his 640 trials skillz. If course that was before I realized he was mortal and IDK about riding a big thing in small stuff .
In the meantime....
Go tag some yetis.
went by it twice, in the truck... today... it's still there...
Mowing now, and having a fresh frosty one... so .. Beuhler... Beuhler... ?
It's always tough when I leave F/X's house, and have to drive by the "good beer store"....
You could go the long way....
I know, but if all I could buy was Coors, or Natt'y Light... I would never drink beer..
Tag, Johnnycake Ridge Rd
Next, on a musical theatre avenue down in my neck of the woods.
I had to resist, as I live on that road.... I was hoping someone would come from a "distant" place, to ride up here for it...
did you come all the way up here on 44 ?, it is a nice ride, even tho pretty straight, lots of nice scenery..
Get it and take it to a distant place
Or... Now it is in a distant place soooo.....
I was hoping nobody would end up taking it while I was on my way. I haven't had much time to ride this year for various reasons, and was able to take the little XT out yesterday to start refilling my file photos. Of course I immediately got caught in a pop-up storm, as you may notice from the next target.
Yeah, the only problem today was the number of people driving 10 under the limit - or worse, those who couldn't hold a steady speed at all. (I want to use my CC on those straight bits, dangit. )
Now, the fun part of 44 is just south of me. Most of the fun road riding I do is on roads mostly SE of me, and I generally either start or end on that stretch of 44.
I passed on it for sure, and figured Big Arn, but I know he has back problems, so I left it.. cool ride, done it lots of times... I just pass 20 cars and roll.. (kidding)
i find the fun just north of Mantua circle.. and crank it up to 100 for as long as I can, between oncoming cars in the distance, and then re-twist to crank it up again.. roll, repeat, and repeat the smile.. nice job. I'm passing on new tag, as I have no clue on it.. but nice it moved..
Edit to add: did roll the bike at/in excess of 130-150 mph, for 4-1/2 miles, a couple weeks ago on rt 322 coming in from Pa., was worried for every second of that, that i'd get a "performance" award... but came out unscathed and happy..I could see a mile ahead, and I don't think Ohio radar reads that far....(if it does.. don't tell me... ignorance is bliss...)
Sitting outside in the wind apparently from the storms going through Akron, and I thought how cool, that's a lot of energy. Boy it would be cool riding around kind of storm dodging. I've done it to stay dry getting home, but to head out and stay out of the rain zone.
I've done this a few times using MyRadar app. Works well.
I was really amazed and the thunder this a.m., early, and thought "if you could harness that power....".. but alas, it subsided.. waiting for the next "blast".. f'ing cool when it happens. dammit, looks now that it ain't gonna happen..
oooohhhh..... musical theater....
(Ok Wow I guess I didn't know there was a whole new abbreviation langue developing.)
