Chilly day , but had a good time. Saw a few bikes. Mostly HDs . They crack me up with the hoodie telescope thing.

Got colder the farther south I went. Weird..I guess Lake Erie helps stabilize the thermal.

Best of luck for you, hopefully you have great doctors, and a great support hospital; getting BOTH done in the same time?
My close pal (same age as me, 64) had both done the same year, but spaced the surgeries apart as he is a pretty tall dude.. but he seems to be much more "mobile now", at least he isn't on "the cane" all the time.

Good Luck with the surgery! Had my hip done 12 years ago and 140,000 miles with no pain or problems. Listen to your physical therapist.

    That's awesome!
So let me ask you. My S10 is currently too wide for me as it caused me much hip pain and this year i could only get about 30 min without having to take a substantial break. This was obviously due to the fact I had no cartilage in my hip. So after the surgery do you think i will get the ability to sit on my wide S10? I got the bike in a trade deal in 2017 and honestly would never be able to afford a bike like that again.. probably ever so i hate to think about selling it. But if i don't get my leg spread back, it's kind of useless.

I was a motoref for USACyciing for 12 years. Spent many long days on a 650 VStrom then a Super Tenere with no hip problems. Last summer put 13000 mi on the S10 touring even rode
parts of the MABDR. Just don't try and get back on the bike to soon after the surgery. You will be fine you are much younger than I,

The Honda Africa Twin is very skinny in the inner upper thigh to lower ass cheek area compared to the S10 and V-Strom. Maybe you can find a trade or deal or cut your seat down with a hot knife. Or YOGA?

I kinda figured that, slab a dab a doo..

man, when you guys come up to the lake, p/m us.. so we can meet ya'll... I hate slabbing the line south, and my bike is done for the year (how did you enjoy our Painesville salt roads..?) so any chance i can get to meet new folks, vis a vis a quick truck ride, is always an option. I know it was a nice day, and if when I went to my mailbox, the road was not "white" with salt, I would have been tempted.. but man, even with the minmal salt they thrw on roads in Va. when I lived there, my wheels on all the bikes suffered... along with other al-u-minium parts.

The roads weren't too bad with salt. I checked the cameras on ohgo.com before I decided to ride up, to make sure the snow and salt from a few days ago was gone.

The big thrill for me was a small pond of ice/slush across the entrance to the parking lot at the stadium. My RT did not like it, not one little bit.

Having a garage day if anyone wants a warm dry place to hangout and get something done. Carbs, tires, coffee, whatever.
