That's like YOUR tag
Time to give back to one of the best representatives of the ADV community and general all around GOOD human being.
To help Father X and family while he’s on the road to rediscover.
Hopefully the link thingy works. And some of you good hearted people will spread it around. I’m very limited in my technological abilities.
Yes it works.
Thanks for getting this going
Hooray!! Least I could do.
I am humbled be your efforts J. I've always considered it a privilege to be part of this community and today I am truly thankful for all the great people I've met, the places I've ridden to and the overall good heartedness of ADV riders. I struggled to agree with this charity but my pride can't stand up to your generosity. I really don't know what else to say but , I thank you and my family thanks you.
The prognosis is a year to full recovery. I can't control how fast the nerves heal or how much of them heal, but I am going bust my ass at the Y and whatever parts of my body will participate are going to be in tip top shape. I hope this knocks down the year by a substantial amount.
Your family, faith and your drive will get you to your goal.
If this small effort by your fellow motorcycle enthusiasts and FRIENDS can put even a small dent in the stress of recovery for you and your family it makes the dark days a little brighter. You are the kind of person who would do it ( and many other things) to help others. It’s my honor to lend a hand to good and deserving people.
So.........Party on the 11th.????????
Apripos... every one at the scene who saw the accident thought they were going to pull a corpse out of the bushes until they heard me yelling...." This is not good timing!! "
First guy to me was cutting his grass across the street. Took him 10-15 second to get to me. He was like, hey man are you ok? He seemed really surprised to see me trying to fix my glasses. I asked him to take my gloves off so I could bend the nose pad back. ....such a sureal experience. I stayed conscious for the whole event, squad ride, chopper ride. They put me out to reinsert my hip (thankfully).
If I thought I could be entertaining for a substantial time I would gladly host a party for you awesome people... although I would hate for you to have to endure the ride through the dismal north
That being said, if anyone wants to stop by our humble grotto for a cold beverage on Saturday just ping me for an address.
Beautiful day. I hope there's a crowd heading toward the tag.
I'm not asking for a lob but if this ends up within 10 miles of my house....
I'm pretty sure I've got the tag. But, BigArn, time has passed since you tucked that photo away in your archives, and alas those who work in the Metro parks system need to justify their existence by doing busywork. Like renaming parks.
I'll post the next so as to keep you all busy
Part of my sanity run. Love that section.
Yeah, l bet if you're used to skidding the rear tire around turns (which I'm not) those tight corners at the end of the bridge are a hoot.
I like to give it a little toot when I'm coming off The bridge at the Blair Park end as long as there's no oncoming traffic you can hit right to left and catch a little bit of air. More fun on the dr650... Which is pretty much the bike I have now
