Later in the morning we rode through several Large Mining operations.

Then we summitted the Radar Tower at 9500’ - it was cool and windy up high! The road up is a cake walk!

The trail down is Sketchy - so practice your Down Hill skills, and enjoy the rollercoaster views!!

Looking back up at the Radar Tower from the backside route down. If you zoom you might see the Tower.

About this point I was wondering where my backup tail rider went?

That's a frickin' killer shot @Catastrophic Failure - the steps in the background are super cool. And I really like the shot of the open expanse from the previous post, being out in that desolation is something non-bike peeps just don't get.

That last comment about your backup trail rider is a bit ominous...

Keep the great updates coming :thumbup :thumbup

Today was the first grey weather we had all week. Strong winds and an occasional light drizzle to begin the route from Battle Mt. to Denio.

We rode Sam’s TAT route from Battle Mt. to Denio. Several of us navigated this exact track 8 years ago this week. Thanks again Sam!

We all recognized some specific hill climbs, descents and geological peaks. It was an unusual feeling being far from home on this extremely remote route, and still having a familiar feel.

Rocky uphills require some throttle control.

The steeper downhills also require that you pick a good line and feather both brakes.

The Big Empty looked a lot like this for the past 1500 Miles!

Thank you Nevada for being such an awesome host, and showing us the best of your Epic Northern Dirt!

This was a great report, thanks @Catastrophic Failure! I've hit SE Oregon for the last two years, thinking I might plan my next multi-day adventure out that way into NV. Likely stage from Fields Station as I really like the people there (and the milkshakes!) and figure out how to tie into the Battleborn tracks or your tracks if you're willing to share. That looks like ~1500 miles of riding nirvana :nod :nod
