Interesting... and kind of funny they go through all the effort to disguise the bike, but put obvious BMW panniers on it and give the guy a branded jacket to ride around in.
Chain on left, exhaust on right, suggests all new motor
Multi controller on left grip
I wonder if they change the rear-wheel from 17" to 18". I think 21/18 and 19/17 are better combinations than 21/17.
That will be a very interesting modelyear 2018 for us middlesize-adventure bike lovers
KTM 890 Adventure, Yamaha XT 700 Ténéré are coming too and maybe Triumph prepares a major update for the 800 Tiger
This is exciting... can't wait to see more details. I see a thumb wheel , a different clutch pack cover, diff headlights. A different bend in the exhaust manifold. I hope they keep the weight the same while increasing displacement/power.
shamu would be an appropriate code name.
lol.. yeah, it does look vaguely porpoise like. I hope that's an LED headlight and I hope it gets at least another 10-15 ponies and some suspension upgrades.
I hope they fixed the shock bolt.
Maybe it'll have HP2 like power to weight ratio :) (sarc)
and the gas tank cracking. I forgot about that one.
'Nuda 900 style engine / light weight ~ bring it on or will the F9GS (F?GS) just end up as another overweight - underpowered heavy enduro....
Just thinking loud here but F9GS will probably cover all of the 650/800/800 engine models?!?!
I like the size of the 800adv on long trips I will say that. Just don't like the weight.
900 or 850?
Or no displacement change just a name change?
And looks like those are subframe-saving removable passenger pegs.
Hmmm, to me it looks like some tweaks, nothing special. Would be nice if they ditched the chain and went with shaft drive.
Yeah, just a few tweaks. I mean, only 90% of the bike is different, but that's all.
I want it for those perimeter spoke wheels alone. I hope my Touratech fork cartridges and shock will fit (but probably not).
Love my 2010 GS twin cam, have 96000K's on the dial. Will be a keeper.
Love to get a F800GS, will wait to the new beastie comes out.
Hopefully they'll get rid of the stupid rear shock mounting design.
Swear to God if this one is disappointing I'm going KTM. It's been too long and virtually every rider has been asking for the similar upgrades to the 800 to no avail. The marketplace has provided an answer via AT and KTM 800. The last 2 years of the BMW 800gs "upgrades " have been gay AF.
This bike better have 10-20 more horse . Better suspension or I'm out...
How has the market place proved a KTM that isnt even for sale ?
This new 950 with about 100hp should hit the spot
