Have a 750 with the gear shift assist pro and I occasionally get this problem, but it is usually operator error. The assist pro is smooth when high up in the rev range and full throttle, but certainly not as smooth as other quick shifters (haven't tried many but have ridden a 2020 k1600B with it and it was smooth as butter, no jerking from the bike and took the lightest of tugs to shift up).

Just FYI if I am holding the gear selector up or down with my foot, the TFT can show 'Blank" in the gear indicator... Let go with my foot, it will display normal.

SO Jealous of your scenery. We have some mountains in NC but not on the same level.
I love riding in higher alpine forests, gorgeous.

The Canadian Rockies are pretty stunning! Although I am hoping to ride your Blue Ridge Parkway next year.

It's definitely nice. In a softer greener sort of way.

We had a BRP and Skyline Drive trip planned for last Spring (2020) but the Covid and the fact the BRP was "Resurfacing" sections with Oil & Chips shut that down. Perhaps Spring of 2022...

Crazy that we are fully open in most of the US and the Canadian border is shut down in both directions. Some merchants/stores/public places here do still have signs that either masks are required or masks are optional as long as you are fully vaxxed. We have been traveling fairly freely the entire time.
When our trip to Skyline and BRP was iffy last June we decided to go to North West Pennsylvania which was open but masks required and take out only in restaurants.

Should start opening up soon I think. It’d be nice to make my way back down there at least a bit this summer

I always joke that the scenery would be be better without the mountains blocking the view. We sometimes don't appreciate how spectacular these mountains are because we see them all the time.

Just performed my second Maintenance reminder Reset with the OBDlink & Motoscan, so I figure they have paid for themselves now. All future resets are "free".
Summer heat is FINALLY fading... time to ride !!
I am looking at a campground in northern NC that was posted elsewhere on ADV, might do a bit of exploring and overnight there.

Looks like a great place to get into my hammock again, I sleep so awesome in that thing!
