There's a new Camping subforum under the 'Gear' forum.

RV, trailer, vanlife, and other camping related threads have been moved there. Any new threads dedicated to camping / RVs should be started there from here on out.

There is also a sub in fluff for adventures on four (or more) wheels to chronicle tours and such.

Feel free to drop me a note if you feel something needs to be moved.

    "Adventures on four."
Does this include quads, or is it meant for auto (car camping) type vehicles?

While we are carving off niche subjects, how about we shove every gun thread into one? That way maybe we could avoid the absolutely endless inclusion of guns into every frigging thread on the site.

I support the subforum juggling that makes sense. I don't support broad brush complaints.

I agree with the camping/rv/sleeping in the woods thing. I don't agree with the insurgence of firearms related shit that creeps into every thread. Holsters, silencers, concealed carry. Who gives a fuck? If you live in a place where guns are on your mind 24/7, it might be time to go camp/rv/sleep in the woods.
Of course I am Canadian so......sorry.

I'm not disagreeing in whole, I'm saying I must be more tolerant of thread drift and less inclined to make the mod's lives miserable. What you've suggested would be nearly impossible. There are a couple good gun threads on the site. The add-ons don't seem terribly onerous to me. YRMV. Cheers. :thumb

Texas used to be the same way. I don't know how it is now, as most of the big Metroplexes have adopted emissions testing. And, with the advent of the "Texas Two-step" (can't get your vehicle registered until it's been inspected), it might be a bit harder. I can't imagine that anything less than 50000 of these Rednecks down here have already tried.

I had an XR650R that I was gonna' plate. I had a guy at the Inspection Station tell me, "If you show-up with an insurance card, I'll inspect it." Registration probably would've been a done deal after that.

I guess what it comes down to is that guns above the 49th parallel are a non-issue. However I truly feel sad that is has to be such an issue elsewhere (USA). Keep on keeping on. :beer
