I hope it's the R18.
Its not the R18 is not an American manufacture. Looks like neat bike. If they come out with it we may have to develop a sidecar for it. The prototype for the new sidecar should be back at the manufacture of the motorcycle by now. They are working with their marketing department for a proper roll out.
Aaarrghhh : a R18 with a Steib looking sidecar, all of it in ivory color: I’ll sell a kidney for this!!!
Better get started! I've seen 2 semi-local dealers advertising that it's coming!
Have there been any more recent updates on this?
Sidecar is done, tooled, first one to a customer, first one for the factory in the crate just awaiting the truck to pick it up tomorrow. Once the factory has it, their plan is to video from the moment they open the crate until they are riding it. As we ship this sidecar fully assembled with the brake on its own master that we have already bleed. Alignment about right so all they have to do is fine tune it. Figure 1-2 hours or so from uncrating to riding. Then, they plan on advertising it and to start taking orders. When ever we have had a little bit of down time in the fiberglass shop we have been building up our inventory of bodies for these sidecars so that we will be able to fill orders quickly.

Hope it goes well Jay.
Jay put "tease" in the title of this thread for a reason.
After 10 months, is it still teasing? Or torture?
More like a torment.
So Jay are you doing left side mount as well?
Asking for a friend.
The company that offers this sidecar is not in any markets at this time that requires left side mounts HOWEVER we are encouraging them to enter these markets and have designed everything needed on our end.
Saw this hat today for sale on Amazon and remembered this thread had not been updated.
I'd forgotten about it after getting excited from the tease!
Yes, it is for the Janus, Janus was going to market the sidecar has since decided to have us market it. Janus is going to be providing us with better photo's as well as a video on installing the sidecar. In the mean time you can see it at this link Halcyon Sidecar (dmcsidecars.com)

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but simply a question............is Janus going to be installing these new DMC sidecars attached to their new 450cc engine bikes, that produce 30 hp.....or are they attaching these new sidecars to their 229cc engine bikes, which only produce 14 hp ???
The bike in the pictures, in the shop at DMC, is indeed the 229cc engine bike, and the entire bike weighs in at 263 lbs, so adding a sidecar of almost equal weight to that bike, and yet only 14 hp in that little 229cc engine, makes one think about the viability of it.
I would hope that Janus would utilize their new 450cc engine, with more than twice the hp in it over the 229cc engine, and use that for the sidecar rigs they intend to sell.
