Yup that was me. I was thinking it was you I saw and was hoping you would grab the tag as it was nearby. I had a nice lunch with my daughter at Plymouth State after grabbing the tag. I had a nice chat with a woman who works there and she was wondering if I was going to try to go up the trail! She said some motorcycles try to follow the gps up the trail which is listed as a class 6 road. I guess you could call it a nice day.

In the late 80's there was a Rand-McNally map that showed the road going through to Orange/Canaan. It caused a lot of confusion.
I heard that some GPS still shows it.
Saw your note about Plymouth State University. PM sent.

I cannot count how many times my GPS will tell me to take a road and the only possible clue that is was ever a road is the old gate with trees growing up through it and a fallen down sign post. There is no way that the google car drove by it and said that you could drive a vehicle through that road that may have been open 50-yrs ago.

Quarter mile from my house. A muddy, rocky road through the woods. Its fine on some days, but after a rain its slimy mud for a quarter mile. Just sucks. Anytime I punch in "curvy route" or don't check off "avoid paved roads" it sends me up there. Annoying as hell.

I’ve had to refrain from taking some dirt roads when I’m out of the area and in a hurry and trying to beat daylight running out out because you can not depend on the GPS companies being accurate

Until 3 years ago Sandwich Notch Road was on many GPS. Canadian truckers got stuck on it regularly!

How many times before you remembered it. It's a quarter mile from your house!

My buddy went to pickup a vehicle with a trailer. 2008 Chevy Dually with a 23'(?) deckover. GPS took him through there. He had to finish because there was no where to turn around. :lol2

Just sucks for route planning because I get the stupid GPS yelling at me for five miles to turn around.

From the looks of it, the trees could have been sapplings around the time that bike was assembled. :D

    Neat ride.

According to the sign, some of the tree further up the trail are 300 years old.
Do you think you can keep the old iron running for another 228 years? Off to a good start.

New Tag (....probably closer in age to the Chief than those 300 year old trees!)

I do like that road, and the other options to cross back over, too. We chose that one because there was an 18 wheeler in front of us that took a left, so we took a right!

Normally I just hop on and the Indian takes me where it wants to go! :brow
