Im guessing they cut your suit off of you? What gear were you wearing? Did any of the first responders say anything to you about your vest? Did it deploy? Is the vest still viable or did they cut that off as well? I have questions when you are ready!

    Good luck with your surgery.

Damn dude, wow. Hope the surgery goes well.

Ps - this is why you should always wear clean underwear.

Actually the vest saved my entire upper torso and even the helmet from ANY damage. Not a scratch. However, my hip to the brunt and the neck of the femur snapped. That hurts big time!

Less than 24 hrs later I am out of surgery and well in my way to recovery. Dr says the procedures were without and problems and went smoother than anticipated.

All the pics were snapped by new friend Jeffery Flores who stopped to offer assistance. He rides a BMW s 1000 XR. Much appreciated, thank you.

Pinned. In and out. Amazing how much better I feel. Virtually pain free

    Trust me, I know....

Actually, you may end up without much pain. My third hip replacement was so painless it was incredible. Driving (AMA) within a week of leaving the hospital.

Glad you weren't hurt any worse and hope you recover quickly. It sounds like the vest did a good job.

You should consider buying some men's underpants in case someone has occassion to take pics of you in them again. :lol3

I had three smaller pins like the shorter one in the upper femur put in when I was 15 yrs old. 35 years later I was getting both hips replaced as a result.

Good thing you're no longer growing!

Now all you have to look forward to is setting off metal detectors and getting groped at the airports!

EDIT: BTW, it's time to change you signature to "One day I did need it"

Glad you are doing better Erik. So sorry you got hurt.

Yet another tickler in my mental file of maybe I should quit the road and just play in the dirt. :-(
