The less money I have, the more appealing bikes become; What gives?

Hmmm, given their current naming conventions, shouldn't in be a K1200ST?

    Me likes much!

Me likey! :clap It removes most of my objections about the repulsive physiognomy of the K1200R. If it comes stateside and they keep the price reasonable (unlike the K1200GT), my R1150R is trade-in bait. Uh-oh, just wait till The Warden finds out, I'm gonna get the Riot Act read to me all over again. :deal

Nice marriage of the two K bikes. I've grown out of the all plastic bikes, so the S hasn't sat well with me. I like the nakedness of the R, but I don't think I would ride it like I would need to to justify the cost. The Sport looks like it would have the wind protection, but still looks kind of raw. Nice.

That silver one up top looks like it has some kind of different exhaust can on it.

I love it. I've been waffling between the s and the r. Almost bought an S when I bought the tuono. I'd really like a little more wind protection but still want upright seating.

At $ 16k this one will take more planning than my normal bike purchases.

Check the exhaust exit on the bottom bike. It's different than the top one.

I'm on the fence on this one. I love the sleek looks of the S and the raw aggression of the R...this has neither for me. Sure, maybe slightly more wind protection than the R, but I can ride it with the larger screen all day and be fairly comfortable. Hard not to love the motor tho' :evil

Maybe the exhaust is one of the "BMW High Performance Parts" ?

    Make mine silver/black.

    Everybody knows this is nowhere......

What I think I am seeing is that one bike has a lower belly pan and the other does not.......appears the same on the two blue bikes pictured above as well...possibly there will be a lower belly pan as an option ? Maybe a K1200 R sport ( K 1200 R S ) and a K 1200 R S L) similar to the early BMW R 1100 RS and the RSL model ?

BMW will offer accessories for some of the new bikes. For the K1200R Sport you can get the front fender, belly pan and passenger seat cover in carbon fiber.

Like letting a kid with a sweet tooth loose in a Russell Stovers shop.

Looks like a great new stable for Bake. I see a home equity loan and two trade-ins in my future.
