I think author meant the new 'Strom'.
BTW there is such a comparison already from Moto-Station.
I habve not ridden the new DL1000.
Interesting that the shootout was won by the versys 2014 1000, the new 2015 versys has been upgraded in some respects.
I love those Google translations. Almost nothing makes any sense.
It sounds like they liked the Versys better than the V-Strom, but only by the narrowest of margins - and this was the 2014 Versys, not the 2015 new and improved? model.
Not a flying control officer interpretation maybe, but for general purpose info is not that bad actually.
Ummmm. This tread had been dead for a few days.
Hoping we see pricing soon. It should be around same price of vstrom 1000 adventure model.
Any other guesses as to price and when we might have the official number?
Every couple of days I do a Google search to see if anything new is out there on the Versys 1000. Nothing so far..
I plan on checking one out ASAP.
isn't it supposed to be on sale in November? the local salesman du jour said it was, but I'm not sure if he can find his car in the parking lot without a trail of breadcrumbs.
$14,999 MSRP in Canada for the LT.
They jacked the price up by a full grand.
So in Canada the new Versys is $1000 more than the Ninja 1000 ABS. If that ratio holds true for the U.S. that would put the Versys at $12,999 for us folks down south.
That's my guess anyway.
are the bags included on the Versys LT? if so, the price will be similar.
Bags are included with my. $13k would be reasonable for US but thinking it might be a bit higher.
I think the bags are standard equipment on the LT.......unless Kawasaki decides to change it's mind.
I have exhausted what Youtube knows about the 2015 Haha. Last night I was falling asleep and found a 2015 Versys 1000 being advertised on Cycletrader by a local dealer! WTF!? Now I keep watching this thread and trying to read more about it, HTTP GET.
There is a cool video on Youtube, but the european pop music had to be muted... No angry exhaust screams on the promo video so don't worry, you aren't missing it :)
The official presentation is all about some faces with short gleams of the bike in the interruptions.
I was $200 off. Seems like a bargain.
That's a great price!
And if they sell as well as in Canada in a year you will be able to buy them brand new for a couple grand less easely. Sub 10k even.
MSRP seems fair. Now need to see one and go for a test ride. It will be between this and the vstrom 1000 for me. The Kawasaki is my leading choice based on pictures alone.
