I have it from the highest authority (A buddy at Motonation) that a new Sidi dual sport boot is on it's way. More info as I get it.

Just looked at the MOTONATION website and there are teaser photos that pop up for an instant of this new boot so it seems to be more than a rumor. I'm sure some of the more interweb capable inmates could capture it and post it for the less skilled to see:ear

Looks good and I'm in the market for off road boots too. I just hope these aren't $300.

    If they're waterproof, I'm in.

It looks like a cross between the Crossfire and the Disco.

Huh, I use my current Sidi crossfires for dual sporting. They have the normal tread and they are water proof.

Get some waterproof socks-you will be really happy.

Keep hopin'. I can tell from looking at them they're gonna run over 300 if they have Goretex. It seems like all of the nicer boots are over 300 these days.

Like the Ghost Doctor on the Puma 1000 and the Torsion Control System on the TCX Competizione? Nice....

mm probably not as tough as those from what the pics show. put there is definitely a brace/pivot/hinge system in place. which is great because there aren't any boot labeled as DS with this feature.

    :nah

That just adds water resistance. There's nothing to keep the water from coming in around the tongue. Especially with their touted "non-bootie design".

I'd like something that has more of the protective features of the Crossfire, but something that I can stand in water half-way up my shins like the TCX Infinity or Sidi Discovery Rain.

If this new Sidi "Adventure" is waterproof, it'll fill the bill.

Oh man, nice. I was looking at some new Sidi Discoverys, but I think I will wait for these. I want the most reinforced boots I can get that are still at least sort of comfortable to walk in and waterproof.

Perhaps not in theory but, in practice, I've found that my Aqueous Nikwax treated Sid Flexforce SRS, precursor of the Crossfire without the articulated calf, are completely waterproof, when worn under waterproof pants, even in the worst Scottish Monsoon.
