Ricky, did you get my email last week re: my handguard clamps and the GPS top clamps?
I'm guessing you received my check ok?
Has Ricky dissapeared? Anyone know if he is ok?
I sent him back the top clamps and my handguard clamps to exchange a month ago and haven't gotten anything back, and he has not answered emails or PMs. If he has gone missing again, I guess I am stuck with half a set of his bars....
I hear the theme from "Jaws" playing!
Hmm,...I've been expecting bars. I thought they'd be here last week?
Hey Rickey if your listening...can you check in with us?
I received the bars and clamps last Saturday, and installed them over the weekend. I was very impressed with the finished product....very nice machinework. I haven't had a chance to fully reassemble the bike yet, but the ergos are much more comfortable both sitting and standing. I can't wait to get it out for a ride.
I was hoping you still have available some of the modified handguard clamps for attaching the stock BMW handguards. If so, I would really like a set. I can drop my stock clamps in the mail to you in exchange for the modified parts and include payment for the machining. Just let me know what the cost is.
I couldn't be more pleased with you finished product. Beautiful machinework and the riding position looks like it will be a great fit for me. Please let me know if you can help out with the handguard clamps.

Didja get your bars?
I have a long weekend of riding up in Hot Springs next weekend, had ordered these so I would have them in plenty of time to get them on and tweaked before that and BYOB in June. Pretty dissapointed; looks like it won't happen.
Good Luck !!! Been waiting on handguard clamps for a FU**ING YEAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Probably 20 phone calls & 40 e-mails later................still no clamps :fyyff
They arrived yesterday....They look great, the machine work is first class!
Rickey may have too many irons in the fire and unable to stay on top of things. However, if you're a vendor...It is a priority, you gotta stay in touch with buyers (good or bad news). Otherwise, everyone on this board and around the world views negative comments.
I hope your stuff arrives soon!
Thanks. I am sure he is busy, but he is obviously still around and sending stuff, and must be checking emails and the like to get info on what and where to send. Seems like he could have popped off a quick note to let me know. I will give it a bit more time and pursue other avenues to get back my stuff. Pretty crappy to have to go that route, though.......
Enjoy your bars!
I wanted so bad to install the bars, (visions of being all cool, and riding in a comfortable position) but could'nt figure out how to remove the controls! ... I spent an hour with this yesterday, but got nowhere. What the fuck! ....All of a sudden the stock bars started to look good just as they are.
I'm assuming you saw the little screws under the inside edge of the grips? I know those have gotten me before...
The control removal technique is subtle... some screws need to come out, others don't. Left-side grip has two screws holding it on, peel back the rubber and you'll see them. Remove the mirror stalks to reveal other screws that help the controls come off. There are many threads here (look in GSpot forum) with pictures of the whole process.
It's not that hard, just confusing the first time you tackle it. I wonder where Ricky is...
Under the "Inside edge of the Grip"? ....Guess I better have a look when I get home. Thanks for the tip!
14 months !!!!! to be exact.
Has anyone gotten clamps back machined after sending them to Ricky?
Any plans for R12GS risers?
I rode by today, and spoke with Ricardo. He was out front in the street, swapping on a different telelever and forks for his R1100GS. He's had a rough spell, mentally and physically, and hasn't been checking email or this site. Some days are just hard, and he's had a string of them...
He asked me to post here, letting people know he's sorry for the delays but that he'll be back soon as he can. I hope so, for his sake as much as for the resolution of pent up frustration here...
You're a good friend, Andrew. Thanks.
very very happy to read you.
i hope to meet you one day here in europe or in USA...
maybe at some bike show...
all my love for your job and your passion.
