Something seems strange to me about that photo - it appears that your rear tire is very high off the ground! Could just be a trick of the light...
Yeah, it's not that high off of the ground.
Turn the bars over you will see a spot weld ,drill this out but don’t go right through or you wont be able to lever it out a decent pair of mole grips should sort from there .

I put the 2810 Hagons on my 01 W a few months back and have to say it is a huge improvement over the stock 20yo shocks. Ride and handling much improved. The 2810's have adjustable rebound damping, a big deal for a good ride. I believe the others were adjustable for preload only. I just had to get used to a different look from stock with no shroud........Cost was ~350 delivered.....

I wonder what the donor for the frame and front end are. The only w650 part on that bike seems to be the engine.

Love the Dub but it ain't a race bike. Main reason I sold mine. A potterer, not a racer.
Hey WnRn, I saw your earlier photos after converting your bike to the single seat plus rear platform and saddle bag racks. Looks great, and the milk crate functionality is brilliant. Can you share more pics and description of how you did the back platform? I'm looking to do something similar, not sure how to make a luggage platform like that stable.
Its an old top box rack that I turned upside down. It is secured with one bolt and to big cable ties. The rear of this rack then sits on the bikes frame. Then whatever bag I use on there is strapped down to the bikes frame. It has 3 mounting points only so I can quickly take it off ( and the sprung seat) and refit the mounting bracket and the original dual seat if need be. The one bolt also holds the front of the rear guard I have fitted.
Little bit of dry mock-up on my 650 project, mostly for running wiring etc. Still a loooong way from finished though.
That is the first time I've seen The W motor in what appears to be a relatively stock Featherbed frame, and I have searched extensively for one. I tried to fit my spare W motor into my 65 Norton Atlas frame and it was a no go, without modifying it quite a bit. I didn't want to trash a perfect vintage frame, so I ended up getting a chrome -moly copy from FrameCrafters that they call their "Fat Featherbed", slightly up-sized to fit the Triumph Thruxton Motors. The frame fits the W motor and has enough clearance to do a valve adjustment without pulling the motor out. It is still a work in progress. I'm hoping to have it done by the end of the year, if all goes well. Right now I'm trying to get folding peg rearsets and shift and brake linkages layed out and installed. It will require some custom machining to enable the kick-start to be retained . I used a set of passenger pegs on temporary mounting plates to experiment with a suitable location.
