    Adam,

Does the Tom Tom 550 have an "audio out" 3.5mm plug? Can't seem to find that info on the website.

    TIA

I'll have to grab my unit when I get home but from recollection, there's a MicroSD Slot and MicroUSB Plug and on the back, two little prongs so you can dock it in the cradle which plugs into the included power port which unfortunately on my beta unit didn't have the wiring for hooking directly to the battery. I had to buy some loops and terminate it myself .

So that would be a "no"?

Reason I ask is that I want a unit with an audio out jack that I can plug into a MixIt along with my radar detector and iPod, and I BT the MixIt to my earbuds. That way, I'd have gps directions, music and radar all sent to the earbuds. Right now, using a garmin nuvi, I don't have the directions. Which is fine, but if I upgrade to a motorcycle specific unit, that's what I'd want. TIA.

don't think so but I have a Rider 400 and that also didn't have audio out unless I totally missed that feature. I don't work in our consumer division so I don't have all of the info on product things.

I ordered on Amazon, knowing it was out of stock; got an update last night that anticipated delivery is "August 8 - September 11". Given that it is unlikely to be delivered until early fall, I'll probably cancel and wait for the US reviews to come in.

So when i went to cancel my Amazon order, it still showed the above delivery date. But the product page showed one in stock and available. So i cancelled my old order and placed a new one. Delivery scheduled for Tuesday. We’ll see.

You may get yours before I get mine. The Dutch postal tracking stopped working after it left holland. I’m guessing the USPS doesn’t play nice with scanning and tracking.

None other than not getting it yet. They took my money just fine and promptly shipped it, unfortunately the USPS has to be involved rather than DHL or the Dutch postal service only.

Just a week at this point, paid on the 9th, they shipped on the 10th and the Netherlands postal service tracking showed that it left Holland on the same day, then enter the USPS and it’s no longer tracked and god knows when it will be here. Was hoping for today, but maybe Monday?

Yes it’s BT to helmet. It is supposed to be fully Siri or android compatible for voice commands, reads text messages to you and all kinds of cool crap, however there are still a few people out there who have not installed a Sena or Cardo (or whatever) in their helmets.
Just for everyone’s information there is a very cheap Chinese helmet system out there that is supposed to work really well. I think it’s available at some Internet retail places and on the wish and geek apps. I will try to find some info on it and post it in here when I find it.

    Here it is.

There is a pretty good review on this on YouTube that I ran across and the guy reviewing it gave it some pretty favorable words. I don’t know if it plays well with others though (Sena and Cardo).

Yes it’s BT to helmet and also BT to phone (if you want) for live traffic and speed cameras etc. Works great with my Cardo and iPhone combo.

The WiFi updating works well too, as does the online trip planning that also syncs to the unit if you want.

All in all it’s a good satnav. Good screen, works fine with gloves etc etc.

I’ve had mine about a month, use it most days and have no complaints.

My only concern is the rain on the touch screen....is there a setting for riding in rain and screen sensitivity...

Really looking forward to mine arriving
