    One question for everyone:
does the digital clock run incredibly slow on your XMAX 300 as well?
I realize that a lot of scooters and bikes connect the clock to your cell phone and this one does not
but I'm finding that it is "losing" at least two minutes a week.
Of course... who cares.... but, I was just wondering
as always, thank you in advance for your reply

Nope, mine is fine, except it’s military/euro time!

    I appreciate your experience
    seems odd. No big deal
yes, the military time that is non-changeable is something I'm used to in my work setting on occasion, but still seems weird
    Appreciate your response and experience

I really have not noticed the time being off. I have had my XMAX for 6 months and if it lost 2 minutes a week it would be far enough off by now I am sure I would have noticed it.

Joan’s Xmax was off by an HOUR.., almost overnight! Oh, wait... time zone change. Nothing to see here - carry on. :-)

Seriously....March can't get here soon enough in WI. I sit and stare at my bike in the back corner of the garage daily, wishing it were warmer and the roads were better to get it out and go. Oh well...it's been about 2.5 months since I last rode it....I think I can last another 2. Ugh....

The weather Sunday here is supposed to be mid-40s and I was tempted to attempt to get it out. But all the country roads by our house are just packed down snow/ice/sand mixtures with solid rutting. Not ideal, and I'm not that desperate...yet!

24hr clock makes sense because there are 24hrs in the day. Kg make sense because there are 1000gms per kilo, 1000ml per L, 1000kg per tonne, 100cm to 1m etc, totally logical.

Sorry I disagree. There is not another single bike or car I’ve ever owned that doesn’t have the date and time format to be available for the local country. Yamaha just got cheap that’s all. Or forgot it. It certainly wasn’t “logic”.

however.... the UK speaks of miles per hour and miles
NO Metric SYSTEM for DISTANCE in the UK... they've come back to OUR way of thinking

They use kgs for weight in the UK, go to any supermarket, building materials supplier etc. Even the gas stations in the UK switched to selling by the litre more than 25 years ago ending the archaic 'gallon'. The only reason they stuck with old fashioned miles on the roads is simply down to cost because of the hundreds of thousands of road signs. The other 450 million in Europe are all metric. Units of 10 make far more sense than units of 12, 14, 16 etc.

Yeah, but, when I was in the Coast Guard, I started doing "Com watches" (radio watch) and would enter the time , as example 1400R , in the message traffic log. One day I came in to stand watch and noticed that the time in the log was entered 1400Q , confusing me so I had to ask why. I learned the letters indicated the time zone plus or minus from Zulu time indicating the direction from Greenwich.
