Great report Aaron, don't rush north.. freezing in Portland all week. Check out San Xavier mission up the hill from Loreto. Also great ride from Mulege to San Jaunico, all dirt, can do there and back in a day ( long day ). Safe Travels.

    Ah hah! Yes. Looks good.
But you might have some trouble getting there on the 500!

That's a great shot with some of Baja's best fauna; cardons, cirios, elephant trees, etc.

Aaron happy New Year. Looks like when you get to the slopes a box of sheet metal screws are a must have item. Nothing like them on ice and snow covered roads. You have fun and keep the RRs coming.

Thanks for the great RR Aaron. Great photos, i love the dive bomber. You be careful traveling as the weather turns colder up north.

Did you IMG_1340.JPG get to meet Coco? Very interesting character and I hope he's doing well!

And you pack your 500 much lighter than I do...

I tend to loose stuff. I did start off with a little more gear but I always wanted to try go pretty light. And yes he seemed to be in great spirits . Quite the character.

I crossed over at the Tecate boarder yesterday into The States. I was hoping for sunny California weather but got rain and not the most fun of days riding. I took the bike in today to GP Motocycles in San Diego who took great care of her. New chain and sprockets. The chain and rear stealth sprocket had done just over 25000k so I got my moneys worth. Another rear tyre 5th of the trip. The bike has 34000k on it and just under 480 hrs and the valves didn't need adjusting. I have had 1 adjusted at 220hrs that's it. Food for thought when Nick Sanders broke the record for riding around the world the distance was just over 32000k. So that bike has proved you can take a stock Ktm500exc and ride it around the world with no motor work. I would and do carry a front sprocket seal though. Be nice to break the 500hr mark.
