Thankyou for the condolences. It's something we all have to go through if we are lucky enough to outlive our parents. Life is short get out there. We can rest when we are dead. Updates soon when I'm done been a beach bum.

So back on the road again after working on my motorcyclists tan. I rode from Zipolite to Oaxaca. The first 130k was tight and I don't think I got out of 4th for over 2 hrs. It got a bit cold at the top of the pass around 2500m but I'll take clear and cold over rain any day. I had planned on staying here a couple days but I think I'll get back on the road tomorrow. Baja is calling. Speaking of which if anyone is going to be in Baja around early January let me know if you want to meet up and ride. Local knowledge would be awesome.[IMG]

Hey Aaron, this sparked a thought. Are you going to be around Las Vegas area in mid January? A group of us Canadians are riding in the area and we would be stoked to meet up. -James

Hey Aaron, been following you on here for a while now. Quite the adventure!
Sorry to say that I won't be down in Baja that week but if you would like a place to crash for the night when you get to San Diego let me know, we have lots of room and a shop if you want to do some bike maintenance.

I might be passed Vegas by then but you never know I might get stuck on a beach somewhere. I'll keep it mind Cheers!

I appreciate the offer. I have a friend in San Diego I was going to stay with but I doubt she will have a workshop so if I need one I know who to message!

So I've been nibbling away at Mexico not doing huge days but been on the road every day of late doing 5 odd hours and 350 odd k. I went from Oaxaca to Cholua where I went saw some ruins and old churches late afternoon then the next day to Queretaro which was pretty busy with everyone out doing their last minute Christmas shopping but nothing fantastic about the place. Christmas day was just another day for me so back on the road and 5hrs later at Chapala a little local tourist place by the lake. There were alot of people out and it had a nice festive feel to it. Marry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year. Sorry to hear about your father. I wasn't home when my dad passed 10 years ago. Glad to hear the KTM is rocking on so well.

Great adventure. Blessings and cool runnings. Your extended family waits another day of adventure, and saddle wisdom.

Bosque Nacional El Cajas. It's stunning in a cage, too, but every time through there i wished i could have been on a bike! Well, maybe except the time it thunderstormed.

Nice photos, great trip, ride on!

All the cabins were booked on the ferry so I had to listen to the truck drivers snoreing now I know why they were getting hammered before they got on the boat so they could sleep through it. I stole a couple cushions of a couch and found a hallway and I tucked up in there for the night. I did a oil change in La Paz and I had intended to head north but decided I better go to the bottom while I'm here so stayed the night and headed down today and I am so pleased I did. That may of been one of the funnest days on my bike of the trip. Also proving yet again on a day like today what better bike to be on its made for this shit. Awesome rollers and just all out fun roads even if they had quite a lot of washboards. I almost forgot I had gear on the back except for my roll bag hitting my arse at times.

Rode up from La Paz to Loreto today. Didn't have the wind like the last couple days as bad which was great. Watched some Pelicans dive bombing. Bikes clicked over 450hrs. Still ticking along. With all this talk about kickstarter missing on the 17 model I thought I might put mine to some use today. I'm out of practice took a few. Happy new year!
