Sunny but cold. Only 4 degrees in Coolah Tops. A hot coffee at the lookout was good but a Jack at home was better!

    Hey Mick,

I got a few littlies, so don't get out much. But, a few of us are doing the TTT Rally next month. I'm usually a late starter, but last year we did a heap of awesome back roads all the way home on the Sunday. Would be good to catch up down there and hook up for the ride back.

Last year, one of our Clubman Tourer mates (Looney) led us through Kowmung Crossing trails (Mmmm, contour banks ). We parted near Oberon, then Fogo led us up through some awesome trails and a some tight going through Sunny Corner.

    Cheers,

    Dan. :D

Hey Mick, sorry mate just saw your message. I ended up going for a buzz up the back of Scone around Moonan. It was a nice ride nothing too challenging and stopped off at the Linger Longer Inn at Gundy for a beer.

I'll put your number in my phone for next time.

    Cheers.

    The pub is Linga Longa.

Give me a buzz next time you are heading up the valley. The run to Nundle via Ellerston is a good, not too challenging ride.

Thinking of doing Sheepskin Hut ( Commission Rd and Hunter Range trail )from Jerry's Plains on Sunday weather permitting. Probably ride the F8 if anyone interested.

Weather looks good for sunday. I will probably leave Jerry's Plains BP at 10:00. ( maybe a little earlier ). I think Commission Rd to Sheepskin or to Howes Valley then across Finchley.

    Hey Rider 101
What sort of riding do you want to do. Just so I know what gear to wear. Are you looking at a couple of hours or longer ride?

I thought a bit of a sunday stroll. Commission Rd is almost good enough for 2wd so it is a breeze. I haven't been down Hunter Range for about 18 months. Last time I was there it was a bit rocky. I did it on the WR so it wasn't a problem. Sheepskin Hut is 60k's from Jerry's which is about an hour or so.

Or we could skip Sheepskin and continue to Howes valley then across Finchley Trig to Wollombi. Again it is a fairly easy run except after heavy rain. The first time I did it the creek crossing was 1/2 way up the motor so I had very wet feet for a while.

I'm easy whichever way. As far as riding gear my preference is Forma boots, overboot cordura pants and a good jacket.
