Looks like a mate and I are in for this one.
Hi Al it was white/orange with a topbox and wings pipes (IIRC!). I was a bit distracted by two kids and two kelpies all keen for a splash in the river!
I will give Gingers a heads up.
Sounds like a plan.
This one is Paul's he lives in the Lambs Valley area , his son John has a black one , good guys both .
What time are you guys planning on getting to the Mattara tomorrow.. Still planning a feed before the flick?
Simmo , I'll be there about 6 pm . Going to eat at home as the Mattara food is not to my liking , just going to have a beer or two .
Cheers mate,,thanks for the heads up. May do the same thing, see you there
Will prob catch you there similar time. I'm down for food poisoning though.
anyone from here up in the Watties yesterday ?
I was heading east along the Heaton Rd / Mt Faulk Rd section,
Great ride to Gingers Creek over the weekend. GSmick, Rustl, Quirky and Jody, great company.
Thanks to Gary and Charlene at Gingers. Top place to overnight.
Bloody hot riding home yesterday. Head wind and 36 degrees all the way back to Sandy Hollow; not fun:huh.
Will try to do a RR later in the week. GSmick has to work out how to post his vid of his slide through a causeway on Bakers Creek Rd
Thankyou Rider101 for organising that great weekend ride. The company, destination and riding was bloody great. I'll be bringing a smaller bike next time, so hopefully I can still keep up with you guys.
that you enjoyed yourself, is all that matters
It was a good ride but bloody hot and boring slabbing back from Bulahdelah.
And don't be smart. You know you were out in the clear most of the time!! Feel sorry for Jody, though. I bet his filter was well clogged.
I will try and get around to a RR this week. GSMick sent me the vid of his water crossing . If you have any pics you want included send to my emai.
Enjoy the GS Safari
Not so much an adventure ride, but if anyone is keen to do the Toy Run this year, I'll be kicking off from Townhead Park in Singleton about 8:00am. Can catch us up along the way in Branxton thru to Sandgate.
The Run departs Stockton at 10am and loops back into Newcastle Foreshore.
Dress up, bring food, toys or cash donation.
Let me know if you're keen.
Pencil me in provided it's not 40 degrees!
Just a reminder that the Toy Run is on this Sunday.
Rider 101, are you still keen (pending temperature..) ?
Current Newcastle forecast is 21 deg and showers
Town head park in Singleton is the one on the Maitland approach with the Army tank on display. Meet up about 7:45am. 8am leave.
Or meet us up at Branxton, or Maitland.
I actually forgot. I will try to escape domestics. If I am not there by 8 don't wait around.
G'day guys I'm thinking about an 800 Adventure and just wondering what the service department at Brisans is like. I've never delt with them and considering they are the BMW shop for our region.
Any feedback on them would be great cheers.
I've had BMW's for 10 years till a few months ago and I'm from Maitland. Always made the trek to Worthingtons on the Central coast for my services, without any hesitation I can recommend them..2 very switched on master technicians there ....Bob & Derek....have helped me out countless times...have heard mixed reports about Brisons...had one mate who's bike was in there for a warranty claim for 2 mths...plus for $. 110 an hr I didn't want an apprentice working on my bike...Worthingtons don't have apprentices..or didn't last time I was there...maybe some one else has a rap for Brisons, I see your from lake Mac...not that far from the central coast.....ps....I have ordered spare parts & accessories from Brisons and the service has been first rate...
