Found a piece of equipment while riding the BDR from north to south through Navajo tribal lands between Cameron and Lees Ferry. If you lost this piece of equip you will know what it is. PM me and I will get it back to you

never any guarantee, but 99.9% should be just fine barring any washouts from a heavy storm. Those heavy adv bikes and two up riders can really limit your access sometimes.

You don't think there will be snow on the Mogollon Rim and around Flagstaff?

^like sam said, nothing is guaranteed. we've had dry years where you could ride all the forests in winter with hardly any snow to be seen.

Still doable with no rain in the immediate forecast. Temps are actually warming.

Just got back from hunting near Flagstaff. Had warm days, with teens at night. One day of snow flurries. It is still dry but wet weather could make things a mess. It’s beautiful with fall colors this time of year.

The southern sections are nice this time of year, great weather and good riding.

    Have fun!

You'll never know until 4-5 days before as thats about as accurate as our current weather forecast are dependable.

Forest road 300 will most likely be closed. I live about an hour west of there and today the peaks in Flagstaff received snow and usually November is when they start closing that area of the forest. If it is you can take 260 to 87 North and catch the route there. That area of the route is never closed.

Is there a similar loop route for the AZ BDR like NM BDR / Shadow of the Rockies?

the arizona traverse was an east west route that started to get developed, you can find some info on it but maybe not get tracks anymore.

theres the arizona peace trail,,, its a great loop through the desert of southwest az, 700 ish miles and took me 4 days to ride.

the baja 100 loop is a good one, its a day ride, though it could be extended easily into a multi day affair.

almost forgot the maverik trail,,, its a day ride also, and can also be turned into a multi day ride easily.

but, arizona doesnt have a real alternative laid out for the BDR, i can put together an arizona ride that could be one day or many, but nothing with tracks laid out for you like the bdr.

We do a lot loop rides in the NM, AZ, and UT area that include portions of BDRs.

This thread has a track for one of the rides and a link to other threads that have what might be useful tracks to make a loop.

Another resource would be Countdown's Great Western Trail route. It runs pretty much the full length of AZ but is almost completely different than the BDR. It is also a bit more difficult in places.
