Bloody hell it looks like Scrapheap is turning into an arms race! We're gonna have to sign a non-proliferation treaty i think.... but back to the bike.....why the heck not? Maybe some beefier forks? And a discrete step ladder? Id call it a KLX though....give it a bit of pedigree eh? Don't worry about what Troy says mate he's still going on about your cutting edge design work with the RG.

    RG250 Motor or GT200X5 motor?

RG No - they are a long crankcase

GT200X5 Yes, however I have been chatting with Ian about puting a RD350LC motor into the 380EXC frame. We think it will fit ok.:1drink

There was a fellow who tried a RZ350 but they are a bit bigger than the RD-LC, into a 99 250EXC but failed to launch.

I just realized (taking a second look at that photo) and it is taken out the front of Anderberg's MC Skrot (motorcycle wreckers) here in Sweden (just on the outskirts of my adopted hometown - Helsingborg) and only 400m up the road from my litttle old farmhouse/motohaven (which was home to Cam's and I from 2008 - 2010) out in Fleninge.

Goran Anderberg (pretty sure that's him in the - old - photo) is step-dad to Glenn and Ralf (RG MOTOR) who are the YAMAHA dealers here... both good friends of mine. I've been in there (MC Skrot) many, many times... actually bought the little black feng sheui SM200 motard we used to have, back in 2008-ish? there.

I shall now do some asking around, as to what that Z 1300 KLR was all about... ? :evil

    @Pezz_gs

I take back everything I've said (about you) and your motorcycle skunkworkery before mate... :smooch

Apparently... you are NOT the craziest bastard to ever pick up a gas axe and a hacksaw blade... :lol3 :deal

I think the task was to create a motorcyle that actually handles WORSE that a "wheelbarrow full of walruses" (a.k.a. the Chris Cater-ism challenge).

This bloke was the winner, is what I'm guessing. :oscar

Well to honest tROY, I dont see much wrong here but obviously the front brake cable was an afterthought and destroys the artistic lines of that front end.

This is a marvellous answer to a question noboby asked, however the issue is not why the answer, but rather why hasnt this question been asked before??

If that was a tower in France, Eiffel would have been jealous. . . This world can be a bit harsh as times . . . . .

On the latest in the Skunkworks. . . .

I need a new roof on the house which leakes like a sieve and have to save up some coin for some colourbond.

    Z1300 has a new home in Melbourne . . . . :(

    General Garage sale under way

AGro the CT200 Rallye Bike is awaiting its seat to return then a few 'little' enhancements will be in order.

XR460/4 will come home from the retirement village and back into active service for SAR10

R100LT is up on the lift while I sort what I have and what I need

    Been thinking I need another 4 cylinder project bike . . . .

How about an AS2 motor in a slider frame? Good enough to win the Australian championship:

Looking at the angles of the swing arms - both fore and aft... the only thing I can come up with, is that it was an attempt to design a motorcycle that could hit 12 inch solid granite street curbs at 20 km/h - without dinging the rims... ? :scratch :dunno
