How about the BMW GS? Full carbon, price range of the Touratech one, no sun visor though...

That helmet has not been offered for sale in the US. Besides, I think the Nexx looks way cooler :D

    That it sure does!
I do like the different chin guard and take-off mouth vent on the BMW though.

The BMW helmet will be offered in the US this year but as was pointed out, no internal sun visor. The Nexx will be available in the US in April.

Oh yeah... sources for this... got an e-mail from Nexx and the BMW info... well, you'll just have to trust me on this. Public announcement should be in January.

Got my hands on one of these at Seattle IMS, as well as the new Touratech lid. The bell was nice but felt like a concrete block in comparison to the TT.

    Patiently waiting for the NEXX...

I would think it would be a brick (vs. a feather) for the price difference...:lol3

Agreed. Just saw the Bell MX-9 is $189.95 to $199.95... that's cheap as heck and 1/3rd the price of the BMW or Touratech. It's almost half the Icon Variant price which IMO looks cheap and fugly, so the Bell seems to be a great value. I also see Bell is launching a more premium carbon fibre DS helmet in the same price range as BMW & Touratech - the Moto-9 Flex ($600 US).

I personally love the look of a tinted visor vs. the flip down shades... even though they're much less practical, they just look badass.

I tried the Arai XD4 on yesterday and it felt tight in the crown like all Arai hemlets do on me. I've used only Shoei until now, but the Shoei Hornet has been around for so long, it would be good to get something newer.

Love the BMW look, clean lines and I saw on FB it's suppose to be available Spring 2015. Nexx is also a great looking helmet.

Need something for when my 2015 GSA arrives in the spring... although I guess I can hold off if I need too.

A major uk exporter said they are not to order yet. They will keep me informed as to when.

So that earlier custom cruiser said 3-4 days is bs. Luckily I didn't do any bank transfer they had requested.

I was told by a dealer that they are expectong the helmet for February. It's a major Nexx store so i hope that's correct. Have my eyes on it, also. Since Nexx are manufactered here, it's probably one of the first to receive them.
Dealer talked about an asking price of 330/350 €.

I talked to the Nexx guy at the Washington DC IMS show this weekend. He said they are sending the XD1 helmets to the US on Feb 22 or thereabouts. It will likely take a little time to get to the retail level but they are coming soon.

By the way... I had not touched the Nexx helmets before the show and was very impressed. Quality was VERY good on their other helmets. I'm looking forward to seeing this model.

There is now a video preview where they claim the weight at 1450 grams!!! That is VERY light. Can't wait to get my hands on one.
