If you notice, the defense sucks.
Wasshis face only plays offense.
If, IF, they ever start playing on a professional level without whining and temper tantrums, I may consider watching them again. I think I’m quite safe saying that isn’t going to happen in what’s left of my lifetime. It hasn’t happened in the first 62 years.
Every year the Lions get our hopes up. New coach or a great draft pick, etc, etc etc.
Rinse, repeat. Next year once we get that running back / defensive secondary/ offensive line / defensive line situation cleared up..................then we will be a contender.
I stopped expecting anything decades ago. Literally. Decades ago.
Do this. Trust me. You'll lead a happier, healthier, more productive life.
You'll thank me
You are right. I go into the season saying that I'm going to wait and see. Then, due to extreme wishful thinking on my part, when they go on a winning streak or show signs of promise and there I am, again, back to thinking this year is different. It's a good thing I'm not a gambling man. I'd go broke in a hurry thinking that the next pull of the one armed bandit and I'll win.
The entire planet is calling Trubisky garbage.
Watch him look like Aaron Rogers on Sunday because, well... the Lions.
He will probably set personal career highs on that day!
With Stafford out look for the Hions to go 4-11-1
Sorry to hear about Stafford. Hope he heals up.
In all honesty though, 4-11-1 was about what I expected with Stafford. Now they're just bad. The Cincinnati of the north.
Trubisky throws 3 TD’s...
There should be an asterisk next to this game, that is was against the Lions, if anyone is considering that Trubisky had a great game and is on the rebound.
You remember the field days back in elementary school? The top athletic kids got the winner ribbons and the rest of us got the participant ribbon. Seems fitting for the Lions.
Might pick up a win against Dallas, depending on the play calling.
They win Thanksgiving day.
Before the season began I took their upcoming schedule and wrote down win or loss for each game. I had them at 5-11 for this year. After the first 3 games and they were 2-0-1 I thought that I had been too pessimistic and that they would surely win at least 8 games. Now I'm worried they won't win 2 more games to get to 5 wins on the season.
I guess in hindsight I was too optimistic!
With the Ford family giving the green light to keep Robert Quinn and Matthew Patricia, Detroit will most definitely continue their dominance at providing a lifetime of futility and frustration for Hion fans around the globe
At this point it's time to pull the pin, clean out every person in the organization and start over. It's tough to win with your starting QB out but they weren't winning either him so move on and try to build something of a team.
Was watching sports shows and the one constant that the hosts, past and current players bring up is team culture. The Browns and Lions have losing cultures, theres no coach that can turn that around.
Nope, this team needs to be sold, moved and totally renovated from the top down. Change their name while you're at it. Detroit doesn't deserve any "pro" sports franchises anymore.
