William Clay Ford is dead - Martha just can't be far behind. Hopefully Bill, or whichever Ford, takes over will get good football people in and let them do their job. But as far as ownership goes, be careful what you wish for...

Elon Musk could buy the team. Change the name to Li-Ions.

That would be electrifying if Elon Musk or the like would buy the team. With the 3rd pick, look for Quinn and the sad cats to trade down for additional picks.

He’d want to make the team self-driving and then crashing, just like his cars. Hell, they’ve been doing that already since 1958. :photog:jack

He earned it: Barry Sanders was freaking incredibly awesome running the ball for Oklahoma State and the lions.

I wish I had been older to have seen him play more or atleast taken for granted the once in a lifetime talent he had.

There was the one game the Packers held him to single or negative yards for the whole game and that was truly an accomplishment.

That was a playoff game too.

    Ouch x 2

But let’s celebrate! This is the best time of year to be a Lions fan!

We’re tied for first place in the division!

I’d have liked to have seen what Billy Sims could’ve done had he stayed healthy. Pound for pound I think he was a better back than Sanders.

Had to google him, that's before my time as I was 4 when he played. To me Sanders is the gold standard for RBs with just how fluid he moved and had power but just made you miss him. Never got to watch Walter Payton but his highlights are the same with how he moved.

So current day stuff, I think the Lions pick Tua who has all the talent to drag the team to a title but injuries will stop him from winning and end his career early....fitting for being a Lion.

So Dexter Bussey was before your time then, too. As was Mel Gray (my age) and Greg Landry.

    Guess I’m getting old. :pep

You're not old, just reached veteran sta8for football fan, think Brent Favre and that's when I was old enough to really remember. Heck I remember the Majeski magic man era where the Packers sucked as bad as the Lions.

Those were sad days, I remember before Brent my dad calling around sunday morning asking if someone wanted to go with...usually was turned down.

As bad as Detroit has sucked all these years the Packers having Favre and Rodgers back to back and only 2 superbowls is pretty sad itself.
