Roman Polak? He seems to be ok. Have not seen an official release but what i read on Twitter sounded like there was no head or spinal injury.

My thoughts on Pittsburgh ,they have a ton of new faces and need a lot of work to jell as a team. The early injury plague has bitten them and this won't help with all the new people. I'll bet they don't get rolling till December. As far as the rest of the league , I see the jets surprising a lot of folks in the future and Toronto becoming a spoiler in the east. I don't think St Louis will repeat. I think the bolts were a fluke. My 2 coppers.

Bruins on a roll right now. You can't stop their first line, you can only hope to slow them down. 13 points by that line against the Rags last night.

Every loss to the Habs is a painful, ugly and bitter pill.

Six points for Connor McDavid last night. Second hat-trick+ in three games. Linemate Leon Draisaitl and he are 1-2 in league scoring.

Edit: 11 points between the two of them last night.

This has been a week of going to hockey games for the mrs. and I. 2 Carolina Hurricanes / 2 Greenville Swamp Rabbits / Knoxville Ice Bears / Carolina Thunderbirds. Headed over to Raleigh again tonight for the Canes vs Panthers. Good times.

Bruins game against the Wild tonight was one of the more exciting (non-playoff) games I've seen in a long time. Two back-to-back goals with the goalie pulled to tie (inc. a power play 6 on 4)? and a win in OT. That was a lot of fun!

Bruins play the Habs for the 925th time tonight. One of the all time best sports rivalry. Always a great game to watch. :beer

Well, I was wrong: Bruins lead 6-1 halfway through the 2nd period (which though an uninteresting game, is still enjoyable for a Bruins fan). It might be interesting to see how angrily the Habs respond, though it won't be the blood-fest it might have been in the old days.

That was a dismantling by the Bruins. I think Claude's days are numbered. That's 6 straight losses for the Habs.

At this point I'm hoping we can at the least make the playoffs.

Claude does fine if you give him a team that can play the way he wants them to. If you do not have two solid lines that can play both ends of the ice equally, he does not do well. He will not change it has worked for him for years now. If you choose to have him as your coach, you know what you are getting. This is the second marriage to the same bride. Not Claude's fault.

Not even half way through the season and Caps at 51 points already. Given the history of the Presidents Trophy winners at the playoffs in the last few years I don't know if this is a good thing.

But they are sure dominating the league. Just look at the last 17 games against the Bruins 16-1....
    GO CAPS !!!!

Great team this year because of former Caps and Cup Winners Grubauer and Burakovsky... :hide
I hope they do well and maybe see each other at the finals.
