I'll tell you this, having lived on this continent going on 23 years. To say that the roads here are dangerous at night would be a huge understatement. Aside from the sedan sized holes in the road, the impromptu road blocks (legit police or bandits) and the livestock which will sleep on the Tarmac for warmth, you must consider the fact that if you do take a spill, the odds of being found anytime soon are slim to none...............but then again, I work in risk-management. It would be an adventure, for sure.

I agree fully. Driving cars by night in Africa is (a lot) more dangerous than at daylight, not even speaking of riding motorbikes.

I have been living in Angola, Congo, Gabon and Cameroon and the company policy was just forbidding driving at night. I can't say that I was a big fan of most of these policies but enforcing this one was really necessary.

Yeah, just the roads between major cities/towns. They are killer enough during daylight. Driving/riding inside city limits at night is fine.
