Okay, so I lose my left turn signals at the same time. No problem...it's a fuse.

Umm...no, no fuse box on the 2006 R1200GS? Crap!

Any ideas before I run to a dealer? Both just went out on Thursday morning. No external issue that I am aware of. (No damage I cased and none I can see from inspection.)

I have been using the hand warmers the last two weeks and smell a little bit of hot plastic/rubber, but I'd say it was normal.

I assumed a fuse as both went down at the tame time. Now that I know we don't have fuses for these items I'm wondering if the previous owner did a poor splice job or not.

Why are you posting here? Where are you from? Why not post in your particular bike group?

    Time to look again.

No manual and the BMW electrical pages I saw didn't show one. I'll be happy if I find one but I thought the R1200GS uses a unique wiring harness.

I haven't looked on the 1200 to see where it is but it has one. on the 1150 its under the seat if not there it can't be too deep it has to be assessable with some eaz. if it didn't have one it would be a 50 year step backword's in motorcycle electric's.

I'll go have a look "Bikes. G Spot", thanks.
A bikes a bike, doesn't matter who made it. The GS series just happen to fit my 6' 7" frame better. If I didn't get a great deal I wouldn't have picked it up.

Nice photo, you the guy on the left or right? :lol3

Don't bother me now Friar. Just started to try to spiff up that Bring More Wampum logo. You will like it & no doubt use it.

The Buell got a lot more miles this year than the Yammie, & it's a lot more fun.

No Fuses on the R1200's. It has 1 Relay under the "Tool" tray below the seat. Everything else is monitored by the computer.

I guess that is another reason why I don't own a 1200gs blow up the computer in stead of a 50 cent fuse. but nice to know that.

Tom, you sure are some kind of cyberspace comedian!! Now I KNOW you're not one of the guys in the piccy, so did you take the photo?!?! :lol3 Or where do you access such photos? I know you're a pretty good photo chop artist too!

Anyway, I'm always amused and entertained by your respones and pictoral contributions. Oh, and I love the Buell patch. Still wonder if I'll have one someday myself.

    Take care, Mark H.

Here's Tom "fixing" something. Shogs seems to be enjoying the moment. Hey, what's that sign sayin in the background? :evil :D

Cyberspace comedian? WTF? Oh, sure, I'm funny. But ya know, looks aren't everything.
Wish I was a good photo chop artist. I don't even have any good photo programs. I always believed that a photo really is 'worth a thousand words.'
Glad you enjoy my goofy stuff.
I don't know where that pic came from. Just something that I snatched off some bike board years ago. Used to have a hard copy of it just to tease Beemer riders.
Funny part was that every time I showed it to someone they would look at it real close and ask,- "Who are those guys?!" Like maybe it was actually someone we/they might know. :poser
