Hey Tim, do you want to roll in together? I think something around midday would be good for me too.

Ahh major bummer Joel. Next time.

    Bummer!!!

OK, so I can't get there till around midday... I know Klammer is going... Who else will be there that can help out with coaching?

I have cones, but it's going to be hard to organize drills when I won't be there early... By the time I get there, they'll be wanting to explore a bit more...

Let's see if we can get a roll call on experienced riders, and any suggestions on a last minute format?

    Tim.

Hey Markos, I'll be heading straight from the ice rink at Pasadena, up the 210, and I never know if they'll run over time... Depends how bad the reffing is!!!

Might be best to meet up there.

So, I was doing a count, and it looks like there could be between 5 and 8, with a mix of skill levels.

Klammer, maybe you can start them doing some warm up loops on an easy loop, do the same loop a few times to build up confidence and assess ability, then progress to another loop if you think the newest rider is ready.

When I get there (or if there's someone else to coach) we may want to split the group so the more advanced riders don't get bored.

Also, if there's an easy to moderate hill climb/decent, we can spend some time there.

I don't know Rowher, so I'm relying on you for your local knowledge!

Do you think we should meet and stay at Staging Area 1, or head to area 2?

I'll try to get there as early as I can. I'll be in a blue Audi Q5 with a roof box and a trailer. Can you let everyone know how to find/identify you? (Sorry to dump this on you... If I can get there earlier, I will.). I'll PM you with my cell number.

    Tim.

No worries, sounds good. See ya there! I'm not too familiar with Rowher either but I'll figure it out eventually. I've been once, and I remember riding up the long gravel road before arriving at a big dirt lot.

I'll take the bull by the horns. Staging area 1. I'll be there about 9. Tan dodge 1500 ram with a green Kawasaki Kdx 200 2 stroker.
My name is Rich. I've been riding Rowher for many years and have worked with all skill levels. I will try to get a spot near the bathroom set but if the cabana is taken I will try to get another one.

Just a reminder... don't forget to pick up an Adventure Pass before you go to Rowher if you don't have one... (Only if you are driving in.. not required if you are riding.)
They are available at Bill's Place just as you turn right off Sand Canyon onto Sierra Hwy. (no idea of Bill's hours)
There are a couple of other places there that you can get them, but they are not available at Rowher Flats itself... here's the local list from the FS website. Adv Pass Rowher.JPG
    Cheers.

I'm so bummed I won't be able to make it. I've been in the surf getting pounded since 5:45. These old bones need a rest.
    Have fun.

Great day yesterday! Nice to meet you all. First part of the day was pretty much one on one with Pbro who's ready for adventure on that csc bmw! afternoon ride up to the top with the group netted us great views out to the windmills of Mojave and a great way to practice skills. Sorry I couldn't ride more with the later riders, but there's always another day. Looking forward to dv nOObs rally. Great job guys!
