Back it up a month so that Steel Pass isn't snowed in and we have longer days to ride.

yes, it's going to be "the end of march madness and meet the april fools"......


this year's winter season was pretty long and many of us did some snow riding. though, in the past years 2 years, north and south passes were open and less snow

now that we moved the date by another week and hoping for a warmer weather, we should get some good riding.

tim, wish we could move it to latter part of april. it will be difficult for peeps if it's on the same weekend or the week before or after warped..

daylight savings starts 1st or 2nd week of march 2012.

the last weekend of march, we're hosting a watering hole for canadian geese in death valley.

I was hoping Joel was going to sneak in a November ride at Panamint Checked the web site and there is plenty of everything open. Close to the easy routes and over the hill from the pretty stuff by Furnace Creek and Titus. I've never been over north pass and wouldn't mind checking it out. I remember Jim (Spafxer) saying south pass was a little rough but doable. Been workin so much I need a break. I'll be there in March fo sho!

Where do I sign up for the ride? Ride and birthday all in the same trip, heaven on earth :).

My birthday is November 13th and that would be a nice weekend to celebrate in the desert. It's 2 weeks before Thanksgiving and the LA-B-V. Hell, I'll be 50 so that to me is a milestone and worthy of a nice ride. I'll camp out of Panamint, maybe ride to one of the cabins for a night. It shouldn't be too cold and hopefully the weather won't be an issue. Anybody else wanna ride/camp in Death Valley that weekend?

Currently trying to put together the same scenario for Nov 3-6. My buddy has a birthday the same weekend as yours I think...we've got just a few years on you though. I gathered he wanted to be home for his, I think a lot of his friends don't ride. At least not hardcore like the rest of us.

Dates may be flexible.

We are actually doing a scout-it-out ride to see what the possibility of having him drive his truck to the Saline Valley hot springs for a larger group ride staged out of there. That way we don't have to ride in camping gear, he'll bring it, along with coolers, chairs, gas, etc.

is there a 2012 nOOb rALLy thread up yet?

I have Friday (veteran's day) thru Monday off and DV sounds real good. Pencil me in John.

either truck it to Trona then ride in and camp off the bike (give's me an excuse to finally use my Coyote Bag) and definitely camp at one of the cabins for a night or three.
