Awesome! Congrats. Great roads around Lee and Madison county in general. It sounds like you've already got a place lined up and in the works but I'm a real estate broker and know the area well, holler at me if I can help with anything and hopefully we can get together for a ride before much longer!

Hoping this blistering hot summer we've had will start cooling down in the next 2-3 weeks...I have done a little more dirt riding this summer and have run across few more good roads to tie in with some asphalt also.

May be in the area this weekend. Got anything good you’d be willing to share for me and a couple chuckleheads to explore? Big bike friendly. @Buzztail

We’re staying around I-10 & 441, so anywhere from there. Prefer no sugar sand or deep mud but otherwise I think we’re open to explore.

Of course it would be the Eastern direction I'm not as familiar with :lol3. I do know a few, I'll map out a couple. I'm more familiar with kinda small and twisty paved roads on that side. I may be available this weekend also if you guys wanted to link up for a few hours.

Try that. I don't know if that'll import into anything or not, but that's some kinda fun up and down (For FL) a little twisty asphalt roads mixed in with some dirt that has a little bit of sand but shouldn't be terrible (I'm not a deep sugar sand fan either).

Points of Interest (hopefully the pins show up)

Suwannee Lake - just a neat little park and cool place to stop over at. There are 2 board walks / fishing pier type deals.
Old US 129 Iron Truss & Rivet Bridge crossing the Suwannee River (Road doesn't go all the way through but you can ride the bikes up onto it)
No Name wooden bridge crossing a creek on a dirt road in Hamilton County (kinda neat)
Falling Creek Falls off of 41 (park and one of the largest drop waterfalls in the state)

I'd imagine that should be a couple hour loop for most folks.

There isn't really anything "technical" at all in there and should be pretty smooth sailing. I rode all of that with my vstrom when I had street tires before, but it's kinda fun stuff. All county maintained.

I’ll let one of the guys that’s savvy with electronic gadgets eyeball that. I’ll be in the rear with the gear

If I use GPS navigation it’s usually more to see where I’ve been than where I’m going.

If you guys want to get to the river, the Woods Ferry Conservation area is close by where some of this route is and there is a big sand bar there, but the road going in will jar your teeth out (pot hole'd lime rock) so I usually avoid it but I put a couple markers on the map if you guys want to check it out. It's a little more "woodsy" and more like riding in a state forest area basically.

If you look over to the East a little further into Osceola National Forest - there are a gazillion trails in there. A lot of graded forest roads and some 2 track jeep trail type stuff. That's not bad riding but not particularly my thing on a big bike. DRZ400 or something sure.
