Chalk me up as a possible. I've always wanted to do this loop, but have been too chicken to do it by myself. I have a couple of things to do to my bike when I get back in town Friday night...when is the meet time on Saturday?

Does anyone know how bad that killer down hill is just past Sheeps Bridge? Last time I was down that it was brutel! And then the rock garden WOW Brian lost a skid plate in that mess! And then there is the little matter of getting a 500 pound bike around a 90 degree walk way, doable but somewhat difficult.

Not trying to be a buzz-kill, just wondering if it is any better now?? It sure is a great ride.

    Take care all, Eric.

I might be in for this.....

I did it last fall. The path from the bridge to the river was rough but doable. Gravity helps. We didn't cross a rock garden. The road from the river to the dam was smooth and easy. Of course, YMMV

Rumor has it that you're going to be on a 525.

I just did this run two months ago. When we did the downhill, one of the GS ADV knocked one of the LARGE bolders out of the way (on the straight shot going down the hill), which makes it a lot easier.

The last time I was there(after above ride), we went up that hill :eek1 . I was on my 650 R:evil . I made it half way up and then powered the rest of the way, it was ugly...

    No more boulder field, gone.

The 90 degree turns aren't bad. The up hill afterwords (which leads to the car staging area) can be tricky. I've done that with my HP 2 and 650 R. Just look were you want to GO...

    Hope this helps, Jim

I would love to join you guys, however, I'm going to LV to show off our new born son to brother/sister inlaw. I'm bring the HP at least. Have FUN.

I just got a chance to ride my first KTM last weekend in Michigan. It was a 525 XC-W. I've been riding my 650 R for eight years, that 525 has been fucken with my head ever since... WHOW, what a bike. If you ride that 525 on this run, you should go UP and DOWN that hill at Sheeps Bridge.

Javalina and I are planning on doing some exploring around Tip Top on Saturday. Anyone who wants to get their picture taken is welcome to join us. I'll be on my 450x and Javalina will be riding his 650R.

It is a sweet bike. I'm not worthy of it. It does require a little more maintenance than the 650R.

Sounds like the OP has backed out. Anybody have a backup plan? You gonna break in your new toy Eric?

YES! The backup plan is to ride with Nightstalker around Tip Top. Come on guys, I've done most of this stuff on my 950...

    Reasons you should attend:

    Breakfast at McDonalds
Table Mesa Rd is real close to Phoenix
    You'll get your picture taken
You can tell your friends and family you survived another Nightstalker ride
Girls will find you more attractive
Your body will only hurt for a day or two
Trophy girls will hold umbrella to shade you at the break points

Ahhh, by legs/body were a hurten for at least 4 days after my last/only NS ride...

The day after the ride, I wanted to buy one of those 'Old people' LazyBoy chairs that have the LIFT motor on them. That way I could get out of the chair without help. :rofl

But it was my fault, he said 'big bike friendly' and I rode my HP 2:evil . I should have taken my 650 R. Then I would have been sore for only one or two days.:clap

    Have fun boys...Jim
