That is why she is the better half. That type or rational would never even enter her mind. BUT you are a bike ridden dude so giddy up you can pull it off. Heck if you are fast enough you could do the 622 loop. Just try not to do the Fort to Kenora and back loop. You might be late on that one.

    old Biker
An 80 year old man went to the doctor for a check-up and the doctor was amazed at what good shape the guy was in. The doctor asked, "To what do you attribute your good health?"
The old timer said, "I'm a biker and that's why I'm in such good shape. I'm up well before daylight on Sundays and out sliding around corners, "shootin" sand washes and riding up and down the steepest, wildest mountains I can find at the crack of dawn."
The doctor said, "Well, I'm sure that helps, but there's got to be more to it. How old was your dad when he died?" The old biker said, "Who said my dad's dead?"
The doctor said, "You mean you're 80 years old and your dad's still alive? How old is he?"
The old biker said, "He's 99 years old and, in fact, he went riding with me this Sunday, and that's why he's still alive... he's a biker too."
The doctor said, "Well, that's great, but I'm sure there's more to it. How about your dad's dad? How old was he when he died?"
The old biker said, "Who said my grandpa's dead?"
The doctor said, "You mean you're 80 years old and your grandfather's still living! How old is he?"
The old biker replied, "He's 117 years old."
The doctor was getting frustrated at this point and said, "I guess he went riding with you this Sunday too?"
The old timer said, "No... Grandpa couldn't go this week because he got married."
The Doctor said in amazement, "Got married!! Good Lord!!! Why would a 117-year-old guy want to get married?"
To this old biker smiled and answered,
    "Who said he wanted to?"

So was there a ride? No photos, it may have never happened?
It was very windy here in the Peg. Stayed home and wrenched a little on the 80cc Yamaha. It’s in a show next weekend so some fixing and cleaning was in order.

I rode down highway 61 to where it meets highway 1 ( 60 miles north of Duluth )
Never turned on the heated grips and due to overindulging in a steady diet of beer and chicken wings I no longer have a heated vest . It was warm enough but not hot . By the way GREAT CHICKEN WINGS at Grand Portage Casino .

Well - the only ride I took was the "high road". Ha..ha... Stayed back and prepped during the day and made the fire and cooked. Had fun! I actually went out tonight on the WR. Just to Wildgoose Beach and back. I put on the GIVI pannier racks. I'm ready for some bigger rides now! :)

Was good to see you both the previous weekend at the grocery store in Grand Marais. Hope your ski weekend was great! I haven't skied for two weeks now, but I did ride the Super Sherpa for a couple hours on the main gravel roads. This is the time of year when you can snowmobile, motorcycle, ski, ice fish, or stream fish on the same day.

Mike it was great seeing you too! We had a fantastic time. The conditions on Moose Mountain were perfect. Tons of snow. Excellent weather. We are actually thinking of making it a yearly event! :)

Are you planning the Sturgis rally? Missed it by a week couple years ago. Pretty neat though. Everything was in place and I left the day before it began. Great roads.

@skysailor yes going to the STURGIS RALLY. Have a friend that has been going for the last 5 or more years and he always invites me to go . this year i took him up on his offer. should be a good time . BACKROADER and I were a week too early a few years back when we went to COLORADO . it was already busy in that area even though the rally was 1 week away .
    looking forward to it .

We went the week before a couple years ago. Most stuff is set up and ready to greet rides and a lot of bikes are there. If you don't like the big crowds and want reasonable access to accomodations it is a good time to go. We stayed (camped) in Custer. I would like to go one year mid week just to experience it for a day/night or 2

Installed a new pipe on the mighty Honda the other day. The stock unit was a bit timid in its sound and I did not want to get into trying to coax another 2-3 hp with header pipes and fuel controllers etc so went with a FMF Q4 slip on with spark arrestor. Pretty satisfied with the result. Install was pretty straight forward with the help of a Youtube video or 2 to not make the mistakes of others.

Also took 7 lbs off the bike. Stock pipe was 12 lbs vrs 5lbs for the aftermarket with the spark arrestor. Short 1 minute video of difference in sound.
